Flamengo pays homage to Pelé on the King of Football’s birthday

October 23rd is always a special date for football and sport. This Wednesday (23), Edson Arantes do Nascimento, better known as Pelé, would be turning 84 years old. In honor of the football icon, Flamengo paid tribute to the eternal number 10.

Through its social networks, Flamengo expressed gratitude and reverence to the historical idol:

“King Pelé, three-time world champion, athlete of the century and greatest scorer in history, would have his birthday this Wednesday! All reverence to the star, who has already paraded his genius with the Manto. Thank you for enchanting so many generations with your talent, Pelé”, wrote Flamengo .
