Flamengo will have an unexpected gain with the negotiation of defender Natan. Betis, from Spain, is finalizing the purchase of the player for 10 million euros (around R$55 million, at the current exchange rate) from Napoli, from Italy. Revealed by the Rio de Janeiro club, the defender enters the FIFA solidarity mechanism, and Fla will benefit from 1.77% of the total value of the transaction.
In practice, Flamengo will pocket 177 thousand euros, approximately R$ 1.1 million. The payment will be made directly by Betis, as determined by the international entity's regulations for training clubs. The negotiation is in the final stages and should be made official in the next few days. Natan arrived at Napoli at the beginning of the 2023/24 season, but had little space in the Italian team. As a result, the club decided to negotiate with him, and Betis moved forward to close the signing permanently.
The solidarity mechanism is a percentage applied to international transfers of athletes trained at different clubs. In Natan's case, Flamengo appears as the training club and is entitled to this share whenever there is movement between teams from different countries.
At 23 years old, the defender was promoted to Flamengo 's professional team in 2020, under the command of Domènec Torrent. He gained space amid the pandemic, showed confidence and even scored a goal. Despite the good start, he ended up being traded to Red Bull Bragantino, who bought the rights from Fla.
Natan was later sold to Napoli for around 10 million euros, and now the same amount is being paid for him in Spanish football. Even though he did not continue with the club, the defender continues to bring in revenue for the club, thanks to the international rules governing the development of athletes. The amount, although modest in relation to Flamengo's total budget, represents another important source of revenue in times of transfer window and market movements.

Corinthians officially renewed the contract of defender Gustavo Henrique , formerly of Flamengo, on Monday (08). The contract, which was due to end at the end of this year, now runs until December 31, 2027, guaranteeing at least two more seasons at the club.
Gustavo Henrique, ex-Flamengo, on renewing at Corinthians: "This means a lot"
Since joining the club in January 2024, Gustavo Henrique has played 56 games and scored four goals, being a regular starter in defense. The defender played a decisive role in winning the Campeonato Paulista this season and established himself as one of the leaders of Dorival Júnior's squad . With the new contract, only four remaining contractual obligations remain: Romero, Angileri, Maycon, and Talles Magno.
In an interview with the club 's official channel, the defender celebrated the renewal: "This means a lot. It's the continuation of a story and a long line of work. I'm very happy with the club's recognition. I'm privileged that they extended my contract . It's a very special moment, and I hope we continue to achieve our goals," he declared.
Before wearing the Corinthians shirt, Gustavo Henrique defended Flamengo between 2020 and 2022. In total, he played 88 matches, scored eight goals and won titles such as the Brasileirão (2020) , the Recopa Sul-Americana (2020), two editions of the Supercopa do Brasil (2020 and 2021) and two Campeonato Cariocas (2020 and 2021).
At the Rio de Janeiro club, he was led by Jorge Jesus, Domènec Torrent, Rogério Ceni, Renato Gaúcho, Paulo Sousa, and Dorival Júnior . Among them, Jesus, Renato, and Dorival were the ones who gave the defender the most confidence. He left in 2022.

Flamengo is about to reach the milestone of 100,000 active members in its "Nação" program , which currently has over 95,000 members . This number represents an increase of about 30% since January, when the club had approximately 70,000 subscribers, according to journalist Venê Casagrande.
The increase in membership was driven by the launch of the new program in April, which highlighted the “ Nação Sem Fronteiras ” plan, aimed at fans from outside Rio de Janeiro or who do not regularly attend Maracanã.
With a symbolic value of R$19.81 per month, in honor of the 1981 world title , the plan offers advantages such as priority in purchasing tickets for games outside Rio, the right to purchase tickets for one game per year at Maracanã (except semifinals and finals) and discounts with commercial partners.
Traditional plans have been revamped in the "Maraca Nation" category, divided into three tiers with different prices and benefits . The focus is to offer priority and deeper discounts on ticket purchases for stadium games.
To democratize access, Flamengo has also reserved 10% of its ticket supply for members in categories 2 and 3 , ensuring they don't miss out on purchasing tickets. Within these plans, attendance will be one of the priority criteria.

With no round of the Brasileirão during the FIFA Date , the Sportv Closing program featured Everton Ribeiro this Sunday (8). The midfielder, champion of the Copa do Nordeste for Bahia the day before , gave a live interview via video conference directly from Salvador.
During the conversation, the player discussed his partnership with Rogério Ceni, with whom he had previously worked at Flamengo , and highlighted the coach's evolution. For Everton Ribeiro, Ceni presents a more updated style and is closer to the group compared to his time in charge of the Rubro-Negro.
" I believe Rogério (Ceni) has been updating himself, and he's also been changing his approach to the group. I see a huge difference from what he was like with Flamengo ," said the Bahia midfielder.
According to Everton Ribeiro, Rogério Ceni's drive to win remains a hallmark, but the coach has learned to balance pressure and squad management. " Today, he can identify when a player isn't doing well and has the sensitivity to talk to them and offer a word of encouragement. That makes a difference in the atmosphere ," the midfielder stated.
He also highlighted that Ceni has given space to the young players from the academy, as was the case in the final against Confiança . For Ribeiro, this approach contributes to the development of the athletes and strengthens the squad.
At the end of 2023, Everton Ribeiro chose to end his time at Flamengo , refusing the one-year renewal offered by the Rio de Janeiro club . At Bahia, he signed a two-year contract, with the possibility of a one-year extension.
