Flamengo president Luiz Eduardo Baptista , known as Bap, indicated that the forecast for the inauguration of the new stadium in Gasômetro in November 2029 is unlikely . During a meeting of the Deliberative Council, held on the evening of last Thursday (20) in Gávea, he stated that the deadline stipulated by the former management “is very difficult” to be met.
The club is currently analyzing the economic and structural feasibility of the project . Two reports are awaited to help with decision-making. The first, from the company Arena Events + Venues, addresses the technical aspects of the construction, including impacts on the surrounding area of the land in the port area of Rio de Janeiro. The second study, conducted by the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV), assesses financial and profitability aspects, ensuring that investments in the stadium do not compromise the budget allocated to football.
FLAMENGO PLANS MEETINGS WITH THE CITY HALL
While the studies are ongoing, the board has already scheduled meetings with Rio's City Hall to discuss important issues, such as improvements to the surrounding infrastructure and urban mobility. In addition, negotiations are underway with Naturgy to discuss the removal of the existing gas equipment structure on site.
Flamengo 's planned investment for the construction of the new stadium has also been revised. Initially estimated at R$1.9 billion by the previous management, the cost could exceed R$3 billion, according to projections by the current board. The understanding is that previous studies did not consider several financial and structural factors, making a more detailed assessment necessary before moving on to the execution phase.
INITIAL WORKS COULD START AS SOON AS 2025
Although there is still no definitive timetable for the construction of the stadium, it is expected that the first interventions, such as the removal of the existing structure and the decontamination of the soil, will begin this year. The planning is in line with the club's financial strategy, which seeks ways to make the project viable without compromising investments in Flamengo 's squad.

The 2025 Brasileirão enters the final stretch , and Flamengo is already preparing for another decisive match. The club released this Tuesday (07) the details of ticket sales for the match against Sport , valid for the 31st round, scheduled for November 1st, at 9 pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã.
Ticket sales will begin this Tuesday (07), in a staggered manner, according to the fan membership plan. Members of the Nação Maraca 1 and Nação Sem Fronteiras categories will have initial priority . The general public will be able to purchase tickets from October 20th, exclusively through the website ingressos.flamengo.com.br .

Prices vary by sector and fan category. For the general public, tickets cost between R$100 and R$600 , with half-price options available in all sectors. Mais Querido members are entitled to a discount on purchases.

Flamengo began selling tickets this Tuesday (7) for the match against Racing , valid for the first leg of the Conmebol Libertadores semifinal . The match is scheduled for October 22, at 9:30 pm , at the Maracanã Stadium, in Rio de Janeiro. The sales process began at 10 am, with priority given to members of the Nação program.
Ticket prices vary depending on the sector and the type of buyer. For the general public, prices start at R$350 and can reach R$2,000. Members enjoy progressive discounts, with options starting at R$100, depending on the plan. Purchases are made directly on the website https://ingressos.flamengo.com.br/ .
Flamengo has established a schedule divided by plan category, aiming to organize access and avoid instabilities in the online system. In this first phase, sales are open exclusively to members of the Nação Maraca 1 plan with one star. On October 9th, the sale will be extended to the rest of this group.
The following stages will continue until the 17th, gradually including the Maraca Nation 2 and 3 plans, as well as the Nation Without Borders program. The general public, free admission, and other interested parties will be able to purchase their tickets starting October 17th.
