Flamengo's Legal Department is mobilizing to collect outstanding debts from two Portuguese clubs: Estrela Amadora and Leixões. The board intends to take the demands to FIFA, seeking to recover the amounts owed to the Rio club. Estrela Amadora currently owes around 3 million euros to Mais Querido.
The debt refers to agreements signed in the past, which were not properly paid off. Leixões, the club that would be acquired by the former red-black management, owes Flamengo 175 thousand euros related to the transfer of athlete Werton. In contact with directors of both clubs, the financial issues were recognized. The Leixões representative stated that late payments are a common practice in football: "Everyone in football owes money, but everyone pays. Sometimes they pay late, but they pay."

Despite the recognition of the debt, < b>Flamengoconsiders it essential to activate formal bodies to guarantee the regularization of values. The board understands that more incisive measures, such as activating FIFA, are necessary to avoid prolonged default. With a debt of almost 3 million euros, Estrela Amadora stands out as the CRF's main debtor in this matter. The significant amount reinforces the Brazilian club's decision to seek a quick and efficient solution to the case.
Flamengo is still evaluating whether, in addition of the resource at FIFA, it will be necessary to adopt other legal measures to pressure the Portuguese club to honor the financial commitment. The amount of 175 thousand euros owed by Leixões is related to the negotiation involving the athlete Werton.The transfer was not fully paid off, even after the Portuguese club admitted the debt.
ACTIONS IN FIFA AS A LAST ALTERNATIVE
The decision to take the cases to FIFA reinforces Mengão's stance in ensuring the integrity of its international business. Football's highest entity is seen as the appropriate channel to resolve financial conflicts of this type. Although the amount is lower than that of Estrela Amadora, Flamengo considers the charge equally relevant to maintain financial health and respect for signed contracts.
The defender left Mengão for Milan in 2019, but never established himself in the elite of European football and could be back in Rio de Janeiro.

Vasco is interested in signing defender Léo Duarte , currently with İstanbul Başakşehir in Turkey, to bolster its defense for the remainder of the season . The information was released by the Canak Vasco portal, in partnership with VDG-Cast.
Despite the interest, negotiations are seen as difficult. Léo Duarte is a regular starter and a key player for the Turkish club, making a quick release unlikely. The defender has already played 174 matches for Başakşehir, scoring two goals and providing four assists.
