Flamengo continues expanding its facilities at CT George Helal, also known as Ninho do Urubu. The club has begun construction on its 11th training ground , which will be used by the professional squad led by Filipe Luís.

To begin the project, Rubro-Negro requested a permit from the Rio de Janeiro City Hall to demolish a house and a single floor on a 10,000-square-meter plot of land recently acquired for R$4.5 million. The deadline for demolition is up to one year.

OTHER PROJECTS AT CT

Ninho do Urubu's expansion plan doesn't stop there. In addition to the new field, Flamengo also purchased a 20,000-square-meter plot of land behind the training center , where construction has already begun on two youth-focused fields—one full-size and the other smaller.

With this, the facility will now have 13 soccer fields. Another highlight is the completion of the mini-stadium, which will host youth and women's soccer matches after the installation of stands and locker rooms. Construction is already underway.
