Flamengo's profit in the last five years is only lower than that of Bayern Munich (ALE) and is among the 30 richest clubs in the world. The information appears in the club's 2023 balance sheet presented to the Fiscal Council of Mais Querido, which showed that the club had a record revenue of almost R$ 1.4 billion last season.

With a record surplus of R$320 million in 2023, Flamengo reached an accumulated operating profit of R$ 590 million in the last 5 years. This number is not higher because in 2020, the year of the pandemic, Flamengo had a loss of R$59 million, contrary to the other four years of the Landim administration.

At today's exchange rate, these R$590 million are equivalent to 109 million euros. The only major European club that had a higher surplus in the last 5 years was Bayern Munich, which had a surplus of 169 million euros.

Bayern is a management model that inspires Flamengo's directors, who in July were in Munich to study a possible format for creating a SAF (Sociedade Anomima de Futebol) in which the club would have minority investors but maintain control of football, as happens with Bayern with Allianz, Adidas and Audi.< /p>

Flamengo's balance sheet also reveals that the club's debt-to-surplus ratio is 0.7, lower than large companies such as Petrobras, which has 0.85 in this regard. This information should all be available, as well as some additional things, in Flamengo's complete balance sheet in 2023, which should be published on the club's website by March 30th.

In a post on Instagram, the mayor informed that the city hall will be responsible for removing the megastructure on the gas meter site, different from what was reported. Furthermore, he guaranteed that Flamengo will have its new stadium, with the best conditions and security.

The news published by Ancelmo informs that Flamengo would have to pay R$100 million to remove a large gas structure present on land acquired by the club, which is owned by CEG and CEG-Rio, which are companies that are part of the gas concessionaire Naturgy.

According to the article, the companies were informed that Flamengo is the responsible for bearing the expenses, as provided for in one of the annexes to the land purchase and transfer contract. The clause, however, does not have a specified limit.

Paes stated that the values for the transfer of the structure are different from what was pointed out in the article by Ancelmo Gois. Furthermore, it exempted Flamengo from any responsibility, and that the city hall has been planning to remove it for years.

“They are making me defend @flamengo more than I would like: let it be clear that this is not the The cost of this transfer and when it happens will be the responsibility of the city of Rio, which knows that this structure cannot be in an area that is already receiving so many residential buildings. It's been in our plans for a long time! Flamengo will have its new stadium there in the gasometer with all the quality and safety that the region demands and deserves. Period!”, published the mayor.
