Flamengo's interest

Flamengo is in the market looking for a center forward to reinforce the squad in 2025, and Firmino appears as a prominent name in the list of interests. At the moment, there are no concrete negotiations, just preliminary surveys.

Need in the cast

< p style="border: 1px solid rgb(197, 0, 24);">The search for a new center forward became a priority for Flamengo due to the departure of Gabigol, who did not renew his contract, and the absence of < b>Pedro, who will be sidelined for much of the first half of 2025. Therefore, the club's Football Department is looking for a strong solution to reinforce the sector offensive, and Firmino would be one of the most desired names by the fans and the board.

Even without official confirmations, Firmino's symbolic gesture this Christmas increased the expectations and enthusiasm of red and black fans, nurturing the dream of seeing him wearing the Sacred Mantle soon.

Former player Muller, a four-time World Cup winner, praised Flamengo's squad in an interview with Charla Podcast, stating that the Rio de Janeiro club already boasts the best squad in South America. According to him, the team is prepared to compete in all competitions at full strength , in addition to having a significant financial advantage over its domestic rivals.

Muller emphasized that building its own stadium would be a game-changer for Mengão: " The only thing Flamengo needs and doesn't have yet is a stadium. If they have one, no one will stop them . It'll be 50, 60,000 people every game. If the Maracanã is already always full... imagine if they had their own stadium. Who's going to stop a team like that? Look at the revenue."

The project has been under discussion for some time, and initial steps have already been taken to ensure that the fans' dream is realized soon, transforming the club into an even more consolidated powerhouse on the national scene.

FLAMENGO IS SUPERIOR TO THE NATIONAL TEAM

The former player was full of praise for Mais Querido : " Take this Flamengo team today. Today. They won't lose to the national team, and if you're not careful, they're better than Jorge Jesus's on paper ." Muller also highlighted coach Filipe Luís's wide range of options, noting that players like Everton Cebolinha are rarely used, despite their goalscoring record for the national team.

NEXT APPOINTMENT
Flamengo is focused on the next match on the calendar. Filipe Luís' team faces Juventude, this Sunday (14), at 4 pm (Brasília time), at Alfredo Jaconi Stadium, in a match valid for the 23rd round of the Brazilian Championship.
