The singer Preta Gilrevealed this Saturday (14), that the surgery she would undergo this Sunday (15) needed to be postponed until next Thursday (19). In her Instagram stories, she appeared to be removing her hair and nail extensions, which were already marked due to the operation.

“I was going to have surgery tomorrow and I had to remove my hair and nails for the operation. I'm only going to operate on Thursday. But I'm already taking my hair off today to treat these days. I'm going to miss my big hair”, she commented.

Last Wednesday (11), Preta Gil used social media to update his health status. At the time, she revealed that she would undergo a new surgery to remove the tumors, after chemotherapy did not give the response expected by doctors. She also said that she was in New York to seek a second medical opinion regarding her treatment.

I came to have a consultation with an oncologist specialized in the type of tumors I have. It was at the request of my doctors in Brazil, so that we could get a second opinion”, he said referring to the trip to New York, in the United States.

It is a surgery that has been scheduled for some time to remove the tumors. The chemotherapy I underwent in Brazil was not as effective as I expected and neither were the doctors. I’m going to have this appointment and I hope I have good news”, he said optimistically.

She also recalled that she decided to open her heart to her fans and followers as a way of finding encouragement and support during the difficult time: “ I decided to tell you why I always receive a lot of positive energy from you and I don't know how to be any different, I don't know how to do things hidden and in secret. This is a difficulty, I don’t see it as a defect, but rather as a quality”, he concluded.
