This Wednesday, the 20th, Flamengo will be in Goiânia (GO) to face Goiás at Estádio da Serrinha, starting at 7pm (Brasília time). The clash is part of the 24th round of the Brasileirão and will be broadcast on Premiere (pay-per-view). The Rubro-Negro team aims for a victory to get closer to the G4, while Esmeraldino seeks to distance itself from the relegation zone (Z4).

Lucas Halter, player from Goiás, highlighted in a press conference the evolution of the defense and says that it will be necessary Pay close attention to Flamengo's attack, which should feature Bruno Henrique and Pedro. The defender wants the victory as a gift for the fans, who have sold out all tickets. Serrinha will be packed.

- It will be an extremely difficult game, Flamengo is among the protagonists of Brazilian football, but we know our strength at home. Tickets are sold out and we are very strong with the support of our fans. In a game like this, we always have to be attentive. Their team has absurd quality, but our team has evolved a lot defensively too.

Flamengo currently occupies fifth place in the table, with 39 points, and seeks to secure a position among the top four, as with Bragantino's victory, Mengão is out of the classification zone. Recently, the Rio team suffered a defeat in the first game of the Copa do Brasil final, played on Sunday (17), against São Paulo. Furthermore, in the last match for the Brasileirão, they were also defeated by Athletico, in Cariacica.

Goiás, currently occupying 16th place in the table with 25 points, faces a difficult moment, as they do not win a victory four rounds ago, and the threat of relegation is getting closer. Last Friday (15), the team suffered an away defeat to Palmeiras.

For Flamengo fans, when it comes to the Brazilian National Team there is a constant concern whenever a Flamengo player is called up , the fear of a possible injury grows . This time, the situation fell on Samuel Lino, who suffered a tackle during Brazil's training session this Tuesday (2).

Flamengo 's number 16 was called up to replace the injured Matheus Cunha of Manchester United (ENG) . During the training session, he received a more forceful approach from midfielder Casemiro, lost his balance and showed signs of pain, but continued training normally.

FANS' REACTION ON SOCIAL MEDIA

The Red-Black Nation did not hide its apprehension on social media:

  • “They’re trying to injure Lino, give him back now, CBF ,” wrote one fan.
  • May Samuel Lino return in one piece from this FIFA Date,” said another user.
  • “For the love of God, give Lino back IN FULL ,” asked a Flamengo fan.
THE TRAUMA WITH PEDRO

The fans' fears have a recent history. In 2024, Pedro was enjoying one of the best phases of his career when he suffered a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury during a training session with the national team. The striker was sidelined for months and only returned to the field in 2025.

WILL SAMUEL LINO BE OUT OF BRAZIL'S SQUAD?

Despite the concern, the CBF did not report any physical problems with Samuel Lino . Thus, the striker remains available to Carlo Ancelotti for the match this Thursday (4), when Brazil faces Chile, at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã.

It's official! Lorran, an attacking midfielder who came through Flamengo's youth system, was presented this Wednesday (3) as a new player for Pisa Sporting Club , in Italy. The "Garoto do Ninho" was loaned for 500 thousand euros (around R$ 3.1 million), in a contract that includes the obligation to purchase 50% of the athlete's rights for 4 million euros (approximately R$ 25 million).

However, the clause will only be activated if Lorran plays at least 50% of the season's games and Pisa remains in the Italian top flight. If these conditions are met, Flamengo will retain 50% of the player's economic rights , aiming to profit from a future transfer.

"Hello, I'm Lorran ! I'm very happy to be here. I hope to see you soon at the stadium . Let's go!" the athlete declared in a video released by the Italian club on its Instagram page. The midfielder emerged as one of the great prospects of Mengão's youth academy, having impressed during the beginning of his professional career, but his performance declined and he lost ground under Tite and has not been able to recover under Filipe Luís.

LORRAN HAS ALREADY BEEN IN A PISA GAME

Last Saturday, Lorran was at the stadium to watch his future teammates in the match against Roma. Before the match began, the youngster took part in a pitchside warm-up wearing his new club's colors and also reunited with Wesley, his former teammate at Ninho do Urubu.

MENGÃO'S NEXT GAME

Without Lorran, Mengão returns to action on September 14th against Juventude at 4 pm (Brasília time) at Alfredo Jaconi Stadium in Caxias do Sul, for the 23rd round of the Brasileirão. Flamengo is looking to end a long winless streak at the Jaconero stadium . The last time they won there was on October 1st, 1997, when the score ended 1-0 for "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved), thanks to an own goal by Rodrigo Costa.
