One thing that Flamengo fans know is that Bruno Henrique likes big games. The Flamengo idol, for example, was the one who changed the game when he came on in the second half of the 3-1 victory over Chelsea. And in 2019, he was the team's best player in the World Cup final against Liverpool. Now, the Flamengo have another tough opponent ahead of them in the round of 16 of the Club World Cup : the feared Bayern Munich.

Bruno Henrique knows the opposing team well, especially because he played in Germany for Wolfsburg. For him, Bayern will be more difficult than Chelsea and summed up the size of the challenge by saying that "it's the game of our lives". Despite all this, he showed optimism:
"Against Bayern, a very difficult team, I think that if we run and help each other, we have the chance to win the game. It's difficult, but not impossible. We're facing a European team, but we've already shown that we beat Chelsea. But, in my opinion, Bayern are much better than Chelsea. It's going to be a great game and I hope we have a bright afternoon and can win. (...) Football is on the pitch, 11 against 11, there's no such thing. You have to concentrate a lot. It's the game of our lives. They may think that way (Flamengo being easier than Chelsea), but we'll go into it as if it were a final."
Flamengo idol and club title holder alongside Arrascaeta, with 16 wins, Bruno Henrique said he likes big games and tried to explain what changes in this type of preparation:
"I always try to give my best. In these games, I don't know what happens, I concentrate more. Not that I don't concentrate in other games, but it seems like my mind is shielded. I think about the team we're going to face, I watch videos of the defenders and full-backs I'm going to face. I try to be at the right moment to finish. (...) In games like these I usually do very well. If I have to say, I hope this is the game where I shine once again to help the team. I hope all my teammates have a great afternoon, with Flamengo playing hard to win," said the striker.
With the Women's World Cup taking place in Brazil and the stadiums used in the competition, the entity confirms the stoppage and Mengão will not be playing

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) confirmed that all national competitions will be suspended during the 2027 Women's World Cup , which will be held in Brazil for the first time and will affect teams such as Flamengo due to the use of the main stadiums in Brazilian football.

“During the 2027 World Cup, Brazil 's calendar will stop, including the men's. So, it's a very good opportunity , because whoever is consuming football will be consuming women's football,” said Marina Figueiredo, project coordinator for the Brazilian Women's Teams, during a presentation at Conafut (National Football Conference) this Friday (08).
The tournament will be played between June 24th and July 25th, and both the men's and women's championships will be suspended for a month . Furthermore, Brazilian club training centers must be used by the participating teams.
The measure is being taken because the stadiums of eight host cities will be ceded to FIFA for the games : Mineirão (Belo Horizonte), Mané Garrincha (Brasília), Neo Química Arena (São Paulo), Maracanã (Rio de Janeiro), Beira-Rio (Porto Alegre), Arena de Pernambuco (Recife), Fonte Nova (Salvador) and Castelão (Fortaleza).
Meanwhile, Flamengo remains focused on the season's commitments . This Saturday (09), the team led by Filipe Luís faces Mirassol, at 6:30 pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã, for the 19th round of the Brazilian Championship.

Before the match against Mirassol, valid for the 19th round of the Brasileirão, Flamengo was welcomed at Maracanã with direct demands from the fans , who demanded the national title . There is no other way without the fans' demands . We have an obligation to give our lives for Flamengo, to prioritize it before our families. We can't control the result, but we want to win and we'll go for it," he stated.
As the team entered the field, the stands chanted: “ It’s not easy, no, the Brazilian Championship is an obligation ”, remembering the recent elimination to Atlético-MG in the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil, where the coach was also asked at the press conference if there was such a condition in the Brasileirão.
On his 40th birthday, Filipe Luís celebrated with a victory. Léo Pereira and Gonzalo Plata scored for Flamengo , while Gabriel, a former player for the club between 2013 and 2017, scored for Mirassol, applying the "ex-law" at Maracanã.
With the victory, Flamengo moved into first place at the top of the Brazilian Championship, reaching 40 points. Second-place Cruzeiro has 37, leaving Flamengo three points ahead . Flamengo is still playing in the 19th round, but Mengão has a game in hand over the Minas Gerais club due to its participation in the Club World Cup.

Flamengo beat Mirassol 2-1 this Saturday (09), at Maracanã, and ended the week with an important victory to remain firm in the leadership of the Brasileirão. The victory came shortly after the elimination in the Copa do Brasil and days before the start of the round of 16 of the Libertadores.

Alex Sandro, who put in a strong performance, praised the team's performance against an opponent in good form: "We knew it would be a tough match; Mirassol is having a great campaign. At the press conference, coach Filipe Luís avoided making projections and highlighted the balance of the match: “A very even duel. Two historic teams on equal terms for these round of 16 ”, he stated, highlighting that a more in-depth analysis of the opponent will be carried out starting this Sunday (10).
