Coach Jorge Jesus granted an exclusive interview, in which he explained the details of his quick negotiation with Al Hilal. Surprising everyone, Jesus revealed that the agreement with the Saudi club was completed in just two hours.
Jesus, who had practically everything agreed with the Saudi Arabia national team, explained how the opportunity to join Al Hilal:
“I had practically everything agreed with the Saudi Arabia national team when Al Hilal appeared. The minister gave me the possibility to choose between the national team and Al Hilal, and I chose Al Hilal” – said the Portuguese coach.
The Portuguese coach was enthusiastic about the new opportunity and highlighted the possibility of signing great players to reinforce the team.
“I admit signing the best players in the world. The club has this possibility today that I never had before”, said Jesus.
This Tuesday, Jorge Jesus arrives in Austria, where Al Hilal will carry out its pre-season. The coach has previously worked with 11 players from the club's current squad, which can facilitate their adaptation and team integration.
The teams play the first game of the quarterfinals at 7 p.m.
