Actor Kayky Brito was discharged from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) twenty days after being run over while trying to cross the Barra da Tijuca beach avenue, in the west zone of Rio de Janeiro. This is according to the medical bulletin sent by Hospital Copa D'or, located in the south zone of the capital of Rio de Janeiro, sent to CNN this Friday (22).
The text, signed by Edno Wallace (assistant doctor), Ney Pecegueiro (assistant doctor) and Marcelo London (medical director of Copa D'Or), also state that Kayky “is conscious, talking to his family and cooperating in the orthopedic rehabilitation process”.
The latest update, issued by the medical team treating the actor on Monday (18), indicated that he presented “good clinical evolution” and was cooperating “with speech therapy and physiotherapy procedures”.
The 34-year-old actor was hit by a car with an app driver on September 2, around 1 am. The actor was at the Dona Maria kiosk, in Barra da Tijuca, in Rio de Janeiro with some friends when he went to get something from the car that was parked on the other side of the avenue.
Video from security cameras show that Kayky he runs out of the car to try to cross back to the kiosk, when he is run over by a Fiat Argo carrying a woman and a 10-year-old child from Recreio dos Bandeirantes to Barra da Tijuca.

I was doing very well in my rehabilitation and I have periodic tests to be done while I am in remission. Remission is a five-year period in which the cancer can return. My cancer came back.”
The artist said that she received the new diagnosis during routine examinations and that she began chemotherapy treatment immediately. She was admitted to Hospital Sírio-Libanês, in São Paulo.
