This Monday (28), the Council of Great Benefactors of Flamengomeets in Gávea to elect new Emeritus, Meritorious and Greatly Beneficial Members. Among the candidates for the title of Benemérito is president Rodolfo Landim, widely favorite to receive him. However, with the elections approaching, there is a possibility that the political dispute will influence the meeting.
To become Meritorious of Flamengo, the partner must accumulate at least five years of services provided as Emeritus. Landim received the title of Emeritus in 2019, when he assumed the presidency, and now completes the period necessary to apply for the new honor precisely in the year in which he leaves the position.
Landim is one of the candidates eligible to be voted on by the Council of Great Benefactors for one of the three available vacancies. An eventual rejection of Landim's candidacy would be unexpected, but the electoral climate brings a small chance of this happening. Although Landim is widely favored in the vote to receive the title of Benemérito do Flamengo, the meeting could, in a less likely scenario , becoming a stage for political disputes.
Understand each title, according to the Flamengo Statute:
Grande Benemérito: is the Benemérito who, for at least ten years after receiving the title of Benemérito, continues to provide relevant services to Flamengo, as per Council's judgment.
Meritorious: is the Emeritus who, for at least five years after receiving the title of Emeritus, continues to provide relevant services to Flamengo, as judged by the Council.
Emeritus: is the member who provides relevant services to Flamengo for at least five years, as judged of the Council.
Honorary: title granted in special honor for notable services provided to Flamengo or national sport.
Laureate: is the member who, competing for Flamengo, wins individual championships for five consecutive years, or three consecutive years (or five alternating years), and who remains affiliated with the club for at least ten years, with the approval of the Board of Directors.
Remido: is a member with fifty consecutive years of affiliation with Flamengo, exempt from contributing financially to the club.

Flamengo received important news this Monday (4). Midfielder Arrascaeta underwent tests at the club's training center, Ninho do Urubu, which ruled out any muscle injury in the thigh. Thus, the number 10 is fit to reinforce the team in the return match against Atlético-MG , in the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil.
The Uruguayan was substituted at halftime of the match against Ceará last weekend after complaining of muscle discomfort. The decision to withdraw him was made by coach Filipe Luís as a preventative measure , avoiding the worsening of a possible clinical condition.

Officially presented this Monday with the number 15 shirt, Jorge Carrascal arrived at Flamengo with the mission of strengthening the creative sector, occupying a role in which Arrascaeta has been a reference since 2019. Although he has not yet debuted with the Manto Sagrado, the Colombian midfielder stated that playing for the Rio de Janeiro club represents an important milestone in his professional career.
"The truth is, I came to Flamengo with a purpose: to work, compete, and achieve the best for the club. The short-term goal is to play and earn matches. I'll work hard, focus on the clear objective, and the lineup will depend on the coach," the player declared.
During the interview, Carrascal made a point of praising the club's structure and the Mais Querido's representation in the South American scene. According to him, the decision to wear the red-and-black jersey was made with conviction.
