One day after achieving a 1-0 victory against Corinthians in the semi-final of the Copa do Brasil, Flamengo celebrated another triumph, this time off the field. Rio de Janeiro City Hall has finalized the delivery of the Gasologista land, where the red-black club will build its own stadium. The formalization of the inauguration agreement took place in a ceremony held via videoconference, with the participation of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Mayor Eduardo Paes and Flamengo President Rodolfo Landim.
“I'm fulfilling a promise I made to Rio de Janeiro in 2003. This agreement was good for Caixa, my government and Flamengo. He only left because of my relationship with Paes. Congratulations to everyone”, declared Lula during the event.

The state bank, which managed the Porto Maravilha Real Estate Investment Fund, questioned the value of the sale, criticized the presence of politicians wearing the club's shirt during the auction and claimed that the notice favored Flamengo. Recently, these issues were resolved, allowing the project to continue.
NEXT STEPS TO THE CONSTRUCTION
Rodolfo Landim expressed his gratitude to the mayor for understanding the importance of the new stadium, not just for the fans rubro-negra , but also for the development of the city of Rio de Janeiro. With the land now in the possession of Flamengo, Landim detailed the next steps to begin construction of the long-awaited stadium.
O The club's president informed that there are still some bureaucratic issues to be resolved before the works begin. The deadline for this phase is up to two years. “We will first demolish the building on the land and create a base project. Then, in parallel, we will develop the executive project and implementation of everything. This licensing phase should last a little less than two years. And then we will have the stadium construction period”, explained Landim.
In search of reinforcements for the team, the red-black board is closely monitoring the player, a starter for the São Paulo team, but should only act next year.
