The group stage of the Copa Libertadores da América comes to an end next week. The 16 teams that qualify for the round of 16 will be known after the sixth and final round. Flamengo , still in search of a spot, is betting its chips on Maracanã to avoid having to rely on combinations.

With the group stage about to end, CONMEBOL has officially announced the date of the draw for the round of 16: it will be on June 2 (Sunday), starting at noon (Brasília time). The event will take place at the organization's headquarters in Luque, Paraguay, in the metropolitan region of Asunción. The draw will be broadcast on the channels that hold the rights to the competition. In Brazil, Globo, ESPN, Paramount+ and Disney+ will broadcast the event. In addition, the Coluna do Fla channel will also provide live coverage on YouTube, should Flamengo confirm its qualification.
At the same ceremony, Conmebol will hold the draw for the Copa Sudamericana, defining the knockout stages of the continent's second most important tournament. The format will be the same as the Libertadores, with division based on performance in the group stage. The draw for the round of 16 will be divided between the teams that finished first in their groups (Pot 1) and those that finished second (Pot 2). The matches will be drawn between the pots, with the leaders having the advantage of playing at home.

The battle for the most prestigious spot at the Sacred Mantle is between two sports betting giants: Superbet and Betano . The former already has its brand on the uniforms of São Paulo and Fluminense; the latter is a sponsor of the Copa do Brasil and the Campeonato Brasileiro , reinforcing its market share.
According to Poder360, the Flamengo board is seeking not only the highest financial value but also a solid partner with a positive image who prioritizes Flamengo in its marketing and expansion plans.
