The behind-the-scenes of Flamengo's elections continue in full swing. Last Saturday (13), Adalberto Ribeiro became the sixth vice-president to abandon the ticket of Rodolfo Landim and Rodrigo Dunshee before the election that takes place in December.
According to the Coluna do Fla portal, Adalberto Ribeiro leaves Flamengo's vice-presidency of external relations to support Maurício Gomes de Mattos' candidacy for club president. However, it is worth remembering that the pre-candidate himself also left Landim's current administration, when he held the vice-presidency of embassies and consulates, to create his own ticket.
SEE LIST OF VICES WHO ABANDONED LANDIM AND DUNSHEE: Adalberto Ribeiro (vice for external relations); Marcelo Conti (vice president's cabinet); Maurício Gomes de Mattos (deputy of embassies and consulates); Paulo César Pereira (deputy secretary); Ricardo Campelo (deputy of social responsibility); Rodrigo Tostes (deputy for finance).
Of all 17 vice-presidents in the Landim administration, four left the current administration to support Luiz Eduardo Baptista, ‘Bap’. Therefore, they are: Marcelo Conti, Paulo César Pereira, Ricardo Campelo and Rodrigo Tostes. On the other hand, Maurício Gomes de Mattos created his own candidacy, which now embraces Adalberto Ribeiro.
Flamengo's elections take place in December, and Rodrigo Dunshee (vice general and legal) and Maurício Gomes de Mattos are the two only official pre-candidates. Meanwhile, Luiz Eduardo Baptista is preparing to resign as president of the Board of Directors to also enter the election seeking the presidency of Rubro-Negro.
In addition to Rodrigo Dunshee, who has the support of Landim, Bap and Maurício Gomes de Mattos, there is expectation about a fourth candidate. This is because the opposition led by Eduardo Bandeira de Mello is studying who it will run for Flamengo's elections at the end of this year.

Mengão buys equipment to provide players with better training conditions, which can improve their performance.

Flamengo continues to expand its high-performance structure . The club invested $1 million (approximately R$5.35 million) in new equipment for Ninho do Urubu , including two pieces of equipment that are the first of its kind in Latin America, manufactured by Keiser, a global leader in physical training solutions.
One of the highlights is the Keiser A300 Runner , designed to simulate the acceleration phase of running. Unlike traditional machines, which use iron weights, this model uses compressed air resistance , providing a smoother, jerk-free load, which reduces impact on joints during workouts.
Furthermore, the equipment allows for unilateral or bilateral training, helping to correct common muscular asymmetries in athletes. The integrated digital panel displays real-time data, such as applied load, power, and number of repetitions , allowing for more accurate analysis.
Another unique feature is the inertia-free technology, which prevents the weight from returning to the body at the end of the movement. This feature increases safety and reduces risks to muscles and joints, making the device useful for both explosive work and rehabilitation processes.
Flamengo coordinator on equipment: "These devices are the first in Latin America"
For Flamengo 's sports science coordinator, Cláudio Pavanelli, the investment places the club on a par with European football giants: "Some devices are specifically for athletes. They simulate the execution of a movement, a run, a sprint at high intensity. These devices are the first in Latin America. Only a few major European clubs have acquired this new technology ," he explained.
He continued: " The big difference is that you can analyze the application of force throughout the entire movement . At each joint level, you can identify exactly what is being performed, considering the applied overload and the speed of the movement." With the new investment, Flamengo reinforces its commitment to maintaining a level of physical excellence among its squad, combining performance and injury prevention.

With the FIFA International Day off over, Flamengo is finalizing the details for the resumption of the Brasileirão. And one of the team's key players, Arrascaeta, continues to rack up impressive numbers. Since 2019, the number 10 has been the player who needs the least amount of time on the pitch to score a goal in the national competition.
According to a survey by Sofascore , the Uruguayan averages a goal or assist every 99 minutes . In total, he played 151 Brasileirão matches during this period, with 109 direct goal contributions , a performance that puts him at the top of the list, ahead of big names like Gabigol, Pedro, and Luis Suárez.
Among the highlights, Luis Suárez also stands out, reaching second place on the list despite having played only 33 games in the Brasileirão , during his time at Grêmio, where he played for just one season, in 2023.
The number 10 is enjoying one of his best years for the red and black. So far, he has 17 goals and 13 assists, numbers that are close to his most productive season , in 2019, when he scored 18 times and provided 19 decisive passes.
With Arrascaeta available, Flamengo takes to the field next Sunday (14) against Juventude, for the 23rd round of the Brazilian Championship . The duel will be played at 4 pm (Brasília time), at Alfredo Jaconi Stadium, in Caxias do Sul.

An idol on and off the field, Adriano Imperador never hid his passion for Flamengo, the club he's loved since childhood. Even so, the former striker built a remarkable career at Inter Milan (ITA), where he gained international fame and earned the nickname "Emperor."

Adriano recently hosted a farewell match at the Maracanã stadium, bringing together former teammates from Flamengo and Inter . He played for each team for a period of time, in a celebration marked by emotion and the affection of the fans.
Despite his declared support for Flamengo, Adriano is deeply grateful to Inter. It was at the Italian club that he established himself as a global star , winning titles and notoriety, as well as earning the nickname that defined his football career.
A product of his youth development at Gávea, the striker has always maintained close ties with the red-and-black fans. His most memorable stint came in 2009, when he returned to the club and played a key role in the Brasileirão title , finishing the competition as the top scorer and idol of the nation.
