Marina Ruy Barbosa will no longer be part of TV Globo's exclusive casting. According to Notícias da TV, the actress decided not to renew her almost 20-year contract with the Marinho broadcaster and already has a date to leave. For those who don't know, the artist has been hired by the company since she was 9 years old — she is now 28 — when she made Começar de Novo (2004). According to the portal, the redhead's relationship with Vênus Prateada ends in the next few days.
In an attempt to keep Marina Ruy Barbosa, the network's directors did everything they could, but were unable to convince her. She even turned down a role in the remake of Vale Tudo, which will mark the company's 60th anniversary. The website discovered that even though she has professional freedom to choose her work off-screen, the actress believes that, with the end of her contract, she will have a better quality of life.
Since she debuted in Sabor da Paixão (2003) , Marina Ruy Barbosa was in 17 projects at the broadcaster. This is without taking into account the period she presented on TV Globinho (2000-2015) and other participations in other attractions on the schedule.
Also according to Notícias da TV, the redhead earns around R$ 350 thousand in salary and fees of around R$500 thousand. She would even be negotiating with a streaming platform to star in her first project outside of Globo.

The newspaper's editorial questions the need for a new stadium just 3 km from Maracanã

The newspaper "O Globo" published an editorial this Sunday criticizing Rio de Janeiro City Hall for assisting Flamengo in obtaining land and planning for the construction of its own stadium in Gasmetro.
According to the editorial, the city of Rio de Janeiro does not need a new stadium located just 3 km from Maracanã, whose renovation cost the public coffers more than R$1 billion. The construction of the Flamengo stadium, argues the newspaper, would transform Maracanã into a "white elephant".
"Despite club and electoral interests, the city does not need a new stadium, especially just 3 kilometers from Maracanã. It is well served with what it has (…) It would be terrible for the city and the country if Maracanã became another white elephant, as happens with stadiums built or renovated for the 2014 World Cup, which are currently the largest. part of the time to the flies", writes the editorial.
The editorial suggests that the motivations of Mayor Eduardo Paes to support Flamengo's project are voters, considering that the red and black fans represent more than 50% of the city's electorate. Recent polls indicate that Paes is well positioned to be re-elected in the first round.
The text also suggests that, instead of building a new stadium, Flamengo should renegotiate the terms of the Maracanã concession to make it more profitable. However, the editorial recognizes that this measure is impractical, given that the rules of the notice took almost five years to be drawn up and approved by the State Court of Auditors.
MISTRUST ABOUT FLAMENGO'S INTENTIONS
The editorial reveals skepticism regarding Flamengo's claim that it intends to fulfill the 20-year Maracanã concession even while building a new stadium. "Flamengo has said that it will not abandon it even with the new home. But it is unlikely that it will build a structure costing R$2 billion to play only occasionally. (…) One of the best and most popular stadiums in the world cannot only be the venue for games or special shows. With the drop in attendance, the maintenance bill will be left up to the state, therefore", states the editorial.
