A diretoria do Flamengo intensificou, nos últimos dias, as articulações políticas e financeiras para tirar do papel o projeto do estádio próprio, considerado um dos maiores objetivos institucionais do clube. Nesta terça-feira, o presidente BAP recebeu, na sede da Gávea, o recém-eleito prefeito do Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Cavaliere, em uma reunião considerada estratégica para o avanço do projeto.
De acordo com informações do jornalista Diogo Dantas, o encontro teve como foco principal alinhar questões institucionais e encerrar especulações envolvendo a situação legal do terreno do Gasômetro, localizado na região central da cidade. A área é vista como peça-chave para a construção da futura arena rubro-negra.
Internamente, o entendimento é de que não há mais entraves relevantes. O clube já considera totalmente resolvido o imbróglio jurídico envolvendo o terreno, tendo assegurado a posse definitiva da área. Dessa forma, não existem, neste momento, impedimentos legais ou burocráticos que inviabilizem o andamento do projeto. Ainda assim, a reunião com o chefe do Executivo municipal foi vista como essencial para consolidar esse cenário e garantir alinhamento político necessário para as próximas etapas da iniciativa.
