In a statement, the COP's head of mission, Larissa Schaerers, explained the reason why the swimmer had to leave the French capital. “Your presence is creating an inappropriate environment within the Paraguayan team and you are immediately asked to leave the Olympic Village,” she wrote in an official statement.

This was the Paraguayan’s second participation. in Olympic Games. The first occurred in Tokyo, when she debuted at age 17. In Paris 2024, Luana Alonso competed in the 100 meter butterfly event, being eliminated in the first heat. She came in sixth place.

This past Tuesday (17), singer Luísa Sonza celebrated the nomination of the song "Chico", made in honor of Chico Moedas, her ex-boyfriend, for the award for Best Song in the Portuguese Language at the 2024 Latin Grammy Awards. The artist, who was betrayed by the influencer shortly after the release of the song, responded to a fan's comment about "making music for others".

"That Chico will never be forgotten", said an internet user in the page's comments by the artist, who also received the nomination for Best Contemporary Pop Album in the Portuguese Language with Escândalo Íntimo. "Mercy. I love Luísa, but don't make music for any man anymore, no. They don't deserve you", wrote another.

"Do you still think that songs are made for other people? I'm the one nominated for a Grammy me and nothing anyone says or does will take away the pride I have in having made this song! I genuinely love it and I believe this is one of, if not the best song I've ever made", replied Luísa Sonza.

The singer also added: "As I've said since 'Penhasco', I can't stop writing and blocking the creativity of the moment by someone else, or not releasing it because of a third party, the song in the end will always be about me and my feelings, and I swear that I think this is my greatest asset and is one of the reasons for so much success, I am visceral."

Last Saturday, Chico Moedas enjoyed the shows at Rock in Rio and denied the possibility of checking out Luísa's performance, with whom he had a relationship in 2023, who will open the Palco Mundo on the last day of the event: "That's crazy. I wouldn't see it, I think it's unnecessary, there's no reason", he replied.

At the Paris Olympic Games, Brazilian Luiz Maurício da Silva represented Brazil in the javelin throw final. However, the athlete was only in 11th place, with a mark of 80.67 m.

It is worth noting that Luiz qualified for the final in 4th place, after throwing at a distance of 85.91 m, breaking his own South American record, previously 85.57 m. Furthermore, Luiz Maurício also ended a 92-year fast without the presence of a Brazilian in the final of the sport.

In the grand final, Luiz Maurício's first throw was at the 80.67 m mark. As a result, in the first series of throws, the Brazilian finished in 5th place, out of 12 finalists.

In the second series, Pakistani Arshad Nadeem made history and broke the Olympic record by throwing the javelin a distance of 92.97 m. Meanwhile, Luiz Maurício finished the series in 10th after failing to increase the mark from his first attempt, throwing 78.67 m.

In the third and final attempt, the Brazilian burned out and was unable to finish among the top eight, leaving in 11th place. Therefore, Luiz did not have the chance to throw three more times and ended his participation in the Paris Olympic Games without the javelin throw medal.

The gold went to Arshad Nadeem, from Pakistan, being the country's first gold medal in the history of the sport. Meanwhile, Indian Neeraj Chopra, who was the big favorite in the sport, took silver, and Anderson Peters, from Granada, took bronze.
