After the defeat applied by Rubro-Negro, coach Álvaro Pacheco revealed that he had a conversation with the players of the Cruzmaltino team. In a tone of consolation, the coach stated that the only one to blame was himself.
"What I tried to convey as a leader is that in these moments of difficulty and shame, the group has to come together and understand what We have to do what we have to do to get Vasco to the level he deserves. The only one to blame is me", he said, before continuing:
"We have to understand what happened, unite, work, focus, do our best. daily for Vasco. No excuses. It's dying for Vasco, because only then will we be able to put ourselves where we deserve to be. Tomorrow we go to the next challenge and we can only give an answer if we work seriously", he concluded, in a press conference after the game.
Vasco opened the scoring after Vegetti scored before the first ten minutes of the game. However, Flamengo turned around soon after and went to halftime winning 3-1, with goals from Cebolinha, Pedro and David Luiz.
