Conmebol will soon stop Maracanã for the Libertadores final, which will take place on November 4th, and Flamengo will need to play its games in other stadiums. The match against Santos will be at the Mané Garrincha Stadium, in Brasília, and the clubs must find a pitch in poor condition.

According to journalist Matheus Leal, Mané Garrincha hosted two shows in September and for This means that the lawn has many flaws. The company that takes care of the field carried out treatment in one of the damaged areas, but the situation is expected to get even worse on the eve of the match.

This is because a concert by singer Roger Waters will take place on October 24th, seven days before the Flamengo x Santos game. According to Matheus Leal, the assembly for the show will begin on October 14th, which will certainly hinder the recovery of the grass.

Therefore, the field will arrive at the show far from ideal conditions and will hardly be recovered for the Rubro Negro game. Mané Garrincha is managed by the concessionaire Arena BSB, which compensates for the lack of games with a busy schedule of events. In 2023, the stadium hosted 13 football matches, 12 concerts and will host at least four more events until the end of the year.

Due to the condition of the pitch, Flamengo rejected sending the game against Athletico - PR for the 23rd round of the Brazilian Championship at the Stadium. Thus, the game took place at the Kléber Andrade Stadium, in Cariacica, Espírito Santo. Still, it is unlikely that Rubro Negro will take the match against Santos away from Mané Garrincha. After all, the local social networks are already announcing the confrontation.
