Tite's presentation as Flamengo's new coach took place this Monday (16), at Ninho do Urubu. The event was scheduled to take place this Tuesday (17), but was brought forward, starting at 2:30 pm (Brasília time). Tite has already been leading the team for a week, having been announced last Monday (09).

In addition to the journalists, some club officials were present, such as Reinaldo Belotti and president Rodolfo Landim , as well as the leaders of the football department, Marcos Braz (vice-president) and Bruno Spindel (director). Landim was the first to speak and decided to explain at what point it was decided that the coach should take over the team before the end of the season:

"I would also like to thank Tite for listening to me and understanding that, for this work, it was important for him to arrive a little before the start of next year, because it was part of next year's planning for us to be able to pursue this year's objectives, which are important for next year's season, and also to have a greater knowledge of what will need to be done, in terms of planning, so that we can improve even further in the year 2024".

Tite will participate, in the coming months, in several decisions that involve the future of the club, among them is, for example, the formation of the squad for 2024. Furthermore, it should be mentioned that Rubro-Negro's directors want to guarantee a place in the Libertadores next year and this will only be possible through a good result in the eight games remaining to finish the Brasileirão.

The year 2023 was a year full of frustrations for Flamengo, having lost the opportunity to win a total of seven championships in which it was qualified to compete. The main objective is to reverse this history, even if with fewer chances next season.

Check it out:

"The Clube de Regatas do Flamengo informs that the athlete Gabriel Barbosa underwent tests that did not diagnose an injury to the posterior muscle of his right thigh. However, the Technical Committee opted for precaution and did not list him for the duel against Peñarol due to fibrosis in the region.
