The investigation involving striker Bruno Henrique, from Flamengo, suspected of manipulating cards in a Brazilian Championship match to favor bettors , was triggered by an alert fromthree bookmakers.

INITIAL ALERT

According to a report, released by the 'GE' portal, the warning signal came from the platforms Betano, GaleraBet and < b>KTO, who identified abnormal movements and high volumes of bets, predicting that Bruno Henrique would receive a card in the match between Flamengo and Santos, valid for the 31st round of the 2023 Brazilian Championship.

SUSPICIOUS BETS DETAILS

Betano observed "clearly targeted bets" on accounts from both new users and established customers, who were specifically betting on Bruno Henrique being punished with a card, with 98% of market volume betting for cards focused on the player. Furthermore, the suspicious accounts were traced to Belo Horizonte, the athlete's hometown.

In turn, GaleraBet registered four new accounts in Brazil, all opened 24 hours before the game, and 95 %of the betting volume in the card market directed to Bruno Henrique. KTO also detected three new accounts betting for the first timeon a card for the player in the same match.

IBIA REPORT

According to the report fromIBIA (International Betting Integrity Association), the odds of Bruno Henrique receiving a card were 3.10, that is, for every R$1 bet, the return would be R$3.10 in case of a hit. The report also highlights that, considering the player's record of five cards in 22 games in the championship, these bets could not be justified by an incorrect assessment of the probabilities.

CARD AND EXPULSION

In the game on November 1, 2023, in Brasília, Bruno Henrique received a yellow card in the 50th minute of the second half for trying to hit Soteldo, from Santos. Afterwards, he complained intensely and was sent off by referee Rafael Klein, confirming the result of the suspicious bets.
