On July 14, 2019, the game Flamengo X Goiás took place. This match for the Brasileirão would be the beginning of a great and impressive story between Jorge Jesus and Flamengo. On Wednesday night (20), Flamengo was tied 1-1 with Goiás. The match was valid for the 24th round of the Brazilian Championship. This is not the first time that Rubro Negro has disappointed its fans this season. After the match, coach Jorge Sampaoli explained the team's difficulties.
The coach held a press conference after the end of the match and said that the Rubro Negra team has difficulty making the last pass and dealing with the absence from Arrascaeta. Sampaoli also said that the Uruguayan star is the one who has the most capacity to find the plays.
