The Superior Court of Sports Justice (STJD) granted, this Saturday (19), suspensive effect to Alcaraz players, from Flamengo< /a>, and Cacá and Yuri Alberto, from Corinthians. The decision, taken by auditor Marco Aurélio de Lima Choy, allows the three athletes to act normally until the trial in the second instance, which does not yet have a set date.
With the STJD's decision, all players are able to take the field in the semi-final of the Brazilian Cup, which takes place this Sunday (20), at 4pm (Brasília time). The punishments, which initially restricted athletes' participation only in the Brazilian Championship, do not affect the knockout tournament.
REPORTS FOR AGGRESSION AND PUNISHMENTS IN BRASILEIRÃO
Both Alcaraz and Yuri Alberto were reported based on article 254-A of the Brazilian Code of Sports Justice (CBJD), which deals with physical aggression during matches
. Alcaraz was punished with a four-game suspension after being accused of "throwing punches, elbows, headbutts or similar blows", acting forcefully and taking the risk of injuring his opponent. In turn, Yuri Alberto received two games of punishment for "kicking or kicking", unrelated to the ball dispute, in similar circumstances.
