Flamengo is going through a great moment. In the last five games, the team scored 16 goals and conceded just one, winning all matches. Among the triumphs, the 6-1 defeat of Vasco stands out, the biggest defeat in the history of the classic, which took place on Sunday (02), in the seventh round of the Brazilian Championship.

Despite some Performances below expectations, such as the meager 1-0 victory over Amazonas, the team showed its potential with convincing performances in the 2-0 over Corinthians, 4-0 over Bolívar and 3-0 over Millonarios. These victories demonstrate Flamengo's strength and its ability to overcome adversity.

The change of key began in the match against Corinthians, when coach Tite changed the team's formation. Gerson was placed as right midfielder and De La Cruz as second midfielder. This new configuration brought a significant improvement in the team's performance, resulting in a 2-0 victory.

Flamengo then beat Bolívar 4-0 at Maracanã. The narrow 1-0 victory over Amazonas was followed by an excellent performance against Millonarios, winning 3-0. These results prove the effectiveness of the tactical changes implemented by Tite.

Now, Flamengo will face an additional challenge with the absences caused by the squads for the Copa América. However, the team's recent performance indicates that, if it can overcome this phase, the team will be highly competitive in the second half of the year, when important decisions will be made.

On Saturday afternoon (28), Flamengo held its last training session before facing Athletico-PR in the Brasileirão. A clash that could decide the future of coach Tite at Mengão, was attended by all the players considered to be starters, despite the expectation of a mixed team for Sunday (29).

In content published on social media of Flamengo, names like Bruno Henrique and Alex Sandro, who were starters in the Libertadores elimination, last Thursday (26), appear alongside young fledglings, such as Matheus Gonçalves and Evertton, who have been widely used in the “reserve team ” by Tite.

Flamengo may have held the last training session under Tite's command.

With his destiny becoming more uncertain at Flamengo, Tite may having led his last training session as coach of Rubro-Negro. There are four games without a win, a bad result, or poorly presented football against Athletico-PR, could mean the end of the line for the coach, just under a year after his arrival.

In the semi-finals of Copa do Brasil, where they face Corinthians, and in the G4 of the Brasileirão, Rubro-Negro's objective is clear, to become CdB champion, and remain in the classification zone for the next Libertadores in the points championship.

Two members of the Jovem Fla crowd were arrested this Thursday morning (26), by the Rio de Janeiro Civil Police. The operation investigates the attempted murder against Vasco fans, which occurred on September 15, moments before the derby between CRF and Vasco, held at Maracanã.

Rafael Gomes Barcellos and Gilson Lira Ribeiro were detained in the neighborhood of Irajá, located in the North Zone of the capital of Rio de Janeiro. Both are identified as the main responsible for the shooting attack that injured two Vasco residents near the region's metro station. The attack, according to the investigation, took place while Vasco fans were moving to the stadium.

DETAILS OF THE CRIME AND STATUS OF THE VICTIMS

The incident, which occurred hours before the derby between Mengão and Vasco, resulted in two injuries. One of the fans was hit in the leg, while the other was shot at the base of the spine. The victims were taken to the Getúlio Vargas State Hospital, in Penha, also in the North Zone of Rio. One of them still has a bullet lodged in his body, and both remain under treatment.

According to the investigation, Rafael and Gilson were in a Gol vehicle at the time of the crime and allegedly shot at the Vasco fans while they were heading to the match location.

INVESTIGATIONS CONTINUE

The Civil Police continues investigations to clarify whether there are others involved in the case and whether the attack was premeditated. The case reinforces the concern about the escalation of violence involving organized fans in Brazilian football, especially in classics with great rivalry.
