The Brazilian team takes the field this Tuesday (17) to face Uruguay. The game is being held during FIFA Date in October for the fourth round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers. Coach Fernando Diniz defined that Flamengo player Gerson will start on the bench, while Arrascaeta should start on the other side from Camp.

According to GE, the probable lineup of the Brazilian team for the clash in Montevideo (Uruguayan capital) is: Ederson; Yan Couto, Marquinhos, Gabriel Magalhães and Carlos Augusto; Casemiro, Bruno Guimarães and Neymar; Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr and Gabriel Jesus. This scheme already has three changes, if we compare it to the last match played, against Venezuela.

On the right flank, Yan Couto replaced Danilo, who was injured. On the left side and in attack, the coach removed Guilherme Arana and Richarlison, and opted for Carlos Augusto and Gabriel Jesus, respectively. In last Thursday's match (12), Gerson entered the second half, but played for just 11 minutes.

Fernando Diniz is a fan of the red-and-black midfielder and there is a considerable possibility of giving him more time on the field in today's match (17). However, it should be mentioned that it is certain that a Flamengo fan will be on the field. Arrascaeta should also start on the bench, but has a good chance of being called on, even if he is recovering from an injury.

Meanwhile, the other Mais Querido players are preparing with Tite for the club's next commitment in the Brazilian Championship, which is this Thursday (19), for the 27th round. The match against Cruzeiro is scheduled to start at 7:00 pm (Brasília time), at the Mineirão Stadium, in Belo Horizonte.

Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores.

Following is the Red and Black lineup:Rossi, Varela, Fabrício Bruno, Léo Pereira and Alex Sandro; Pulgar, De la Cruz, Gerson and Arrascaeta; Plata and Bruno Henrique.

Alex Sandro and Plata, debutants in last Sunday's classic, remain in the team after having good performances in the draw against Vasco. Gabigol is now out of the relationship due to fibrosis in the posterior muscle of his right thigh. Flamengo, in a statement, reported that the athlete did not suffer any injury in the region. Check it out:

"The Clube de Regatas do Flamengo informs that the athlete Gabriel Barbosa underwent tests that did not diagnose an injury to the posterior muscle of his right thigh. However, the Technical Committee opted for precaution and did not list him for the duel against Peñarol due to fibrosis in the region. Gabi is handed over to physiotherapists and physical trainers for the series of decisive games of the season."
