Brazilian Under-20 team beats Mexico again in São Januário with a goal in stoppage time

The Brazilian team beat Mexico 3-2, in São Januário. The series of two friendly matches that ended this Sunday (8) is part of Brazil's preparation for the South American Championship, in January, in Peru.GOALS

The goals of the team led by Ramon Menezes were scored by Rayan and Vitor Roque, twice. The winning goal was scored 51 minutes into the second half. Rayan scored a goal in each match in clashes with the Mexicans. This Sunday, he scored in the 46th minute of the first half. The Vasco native took advantage of the opposing goalkeeper's rebound and opened the scoring. 

In the second half, Vitor Roque added to the score after 3 minutes. The Mexicans reacted. At 18 minutes, Mateo Mendaña scored the first. Then, at 33 minutes, Tahiel Adrian equalized. In the end, at 51 minutes, Vitor Roque guaranteed the victory for the Brazilians.

SECOND PHASE CLOSED

This is the second phase of Amarelinha's preparation in search of defending the current undefeated title of competition, won in February 2023. On Friday, Brazil beat the Mexicans 2-1. At the beginning of June, the team met at Granja Comary during Data Fifa and faced Botafogo in a training game, won by Brazil by 7 to 1.

The friendly match was watched by players from the Main Team who are preparing in Curitiba for the clash against Paraguay, in the Qualifiers. They watched the game on TV during the delegation dinner.

Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores. Follow the Red and Black lineup:Rossi, Varela, Fabrício Bruno, Léo Pereira and Alex Sandro; Pulgar, De la Cruz, Gerson and Arrascaeta; Plata and Bruno Henrique.

Alex Sandro and Plata, debutants in last Sunday's classic, remain in the team after having good performances in the draw against Vasco. Gabigol is now out of the relationship due to fibrosis in the posterior muscle of his right thigh. Flamengo, in a statement, reported that the athlete did not suffer any injury in the region. However, the Technical Committee opted for precaution and did not list him for the duel against Peñarol due to fibrosis in the region. Gabi is handed over to physiotherapists and physical trainers for the series of decisive games of the season."
