An imposing challenge with the look of baptism for the beginning of the era Dorival Júnior in the Brazilian team. Facing England at Wembley is usually one of the most difficult and honorable missions for any team, and with Brazil it comes with a challenge: winning for the first time in one of the most traditional stages in the world of football after modernization.

With the weight of more than 100 years of history, Wembley carries with it relevant facts in the relationship with Brazil. Pelé, for example, never played in the stadium that hosted the 1966 World Cup final. There were 12 senior team matches with seven draws, three English victories and only two Brazilian victories, both before the renovation carried out between 2003 and 2007.Selection Retrospect at Wembley

Le Saux opened the scoring, but Juninho Paulista, Ronaldo and Edmundo secured an imposing victory. The lineup that day had: Zetti, Jorginho, Aldair, Márcio Santos and Roberto Carlos; Dunga, Cesar Sampaio, Zinho, Juninho; Edmundo and Ronaldo. Ronaldão, Leonardo and Giovanni entered.

Last Wednesday (4), Flamengo held the seventh edition of the Sangue Rubro-negro campaign, at the Gávea headquarters. Hemorio's partner team was at the Gávea headquarters, from 10am to 3pm, collecting blood in the playground's party room. Athletes, employees and associates were able to donate and make a difference: each bag of blood can save up to four lives.

In addition to encouraging blood donation, the campaign also sought to raise awareness about the importance of this act of generosity and how it can save lives. “The partnership with Flamengo Social Responsibility is very important. More than attracting donors, this action seeks to awaken civic and social sentiment, ensure greater dissemination and demystify fears. It is an extremely educational and important action for maintaining stocks”, declared Dr. Renata de Almeida, a Hemorio doctor present at the action.

Blood donation is essential for health units to continue serving patients undergoing treatments and surgeries. The only way to guarantee the blood supply is through voluntary donations.

To donate blood, you must have an official identification document with photo, original or certified copy; be between 16 and 69 years old; be fed and in good health; weigh more than 50 kg; not be pregnant or breastfeeding. For more information about donating blood, visit www.hemorio.rj.gov.br or call 0800 282 0708. Hemorio is located at Rua Frei Caneca, nº 8, in the center of Rio. Donate blood, donate life!

The coach Dorival Júnior last Wednesday began drafting the lineup for the Brazilian team to face Ecuador, in the seventh round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. He can promote changes in all sectors in relation to the team which he used in the Copa América.

Starters in the four matches of the tournament in the United States, the defender Marquinhos and midfielder João Gomes were removed from the team in training on Wednesday. In their place came Gabriel Magalhães and André. In attack, without counting Raphinha, who is suspended and not called up, Dorival selected Rodrygo on the right wing, forming an attacking trio with Endrick and Vini Júnior, his teammates at Real Madrid.< /p>

Initially, Pedro was among the starters, but he was injured right at the beginning of the activity. The lineup used for most of the training was: Alisson, Danilo, Éder Militão, Gabriel Magalhães and Guilherme Arana; André, Bruno Guimarães and Lucas Paquetá; Rodrygo, Vini Júnior and Endrick.

During the activity, Dorival made some changes, such as the additions of Beraldo, Wendell, Gerson, Lucas, Estêvão, among others.

The national team is doing its last training session this Thursday before the duel against Ecuador. Brazil is trying to rehabilitate itself in the World Cup qualifiers after four rounds without victories – a draw with Venezuela and defeats to Uruguay, Colombia and Argentina. With seven points from six games, the Seleção occupies sixth place in the competition, the last one that guarantees a direct place in the 2026 World Cup.
