The 1-1 draw between Flamengo and Bragantino, on Saturday night (4), in Bragança Paulista, generated a lot of controversy. The arbitration was questioned by the red and black side, mainly due to two moves: the annulment of Luan Cândido's expulsion and a possible unmarked penalty on Luiz Araújo. Flamengo's football VP, Marcos Braz, demanded a strong stance from the CBF on the refereeing of the match. Bruno Spindel, the club's football director, also spoke out, with a hint to John Textor, president of Botafogo:
“We think what's happening is an accident. The president of one club says there is fraud, the other says there is robbery... and game after game the referees, cornered, are harming Flamengo. It's an absurd. What is most offensive is the lack of criteria and always against Flamengo. I can't think that this is normal and that there isn't something behind it. All the moves are piling up”, he said.
“How will the referees work? They will only make mistakes against Flamengo, and whoever shouts the most benefits. Do we have to say that there is theft, manipulation or orders from above? Will we have to say this to start respecting Flamengo? The CBF needs to clarify. Nothing happens. Whoever says there is an assault, nothing happens, then the referee comes in cornered. Anyone who doesn't complain, scream and say there's a robbery is harmed, like Flamengo has been in two games and again today”, asked Spindel.
The Flamengo leader didn't stop there, he also talked about the lack of positioning by the CBF regarding the various arbitration errors that have been occurring: “What is happening is absurd, we cannot understand how the CBF does not take action. We're going to have to start saying the same thing too. We have already sent a letter at other times and it is of no use. The only point is to call the CPI, say that you're a thief, that there's been a robbery... it's just like that. If you don’t do it this way, there’s no point,” he added.
“What happened today is absurd. If there had been an expulsion at the beginning, it would have changed the game, as would the penalty on Luiz Araújo. We are disadvantaged game by game. Office is no use. What respects is calling the CPI in Brasília, saying that there is a robbery... there is no other way to be respected”, he concluded.
Flamengo player, striker Bruno Henrique also spoke about the error: “( …) Football is getting worse and worse, they employ professionals to help, and the professionals who are seeing the game much better than those on the field cannot do the simple thing. So, it’s unfortunate,” he said.

The Sinergia Rubro-Negra Group (SRN), made up of influential partners from Flamengo, held a meeting last Saturday (7), at the club's headquarters, located in Gávea. The main objective of the meeting was to promote fraternization among the participants, but, inevitably, club politics ended up dominating the discussions throughout the event.
The main topic that emerged during the meeting was the support of the SRN to Rodrigo Dunshee's candidacy for president of Flamengo. Dunshee, who currently holds the position of general and legal vice-president of the club, is a prominent figure in the red-black political scene. The group, made up of members who share an aligned vision regarding the club's management, sees in Dunshee a name prepared to take over Flamengo's leadership, especially considering the upcoming electoral cycle.
During the event, members of the SRN highlighted Dunshee's role in the current administration, remembering that he was a fundamental player in several legal achievements of the Flamengo in recent years. The group believes that his experience and proximity to the club's internal processes make him the ideal candidate to succeed current president Rodolfo Landim, whose tenure ends at the end of his term.
Although the initial objective of the meeting was a celebration between the partners, it was inevitable that the conversations turned to Flamengo's political future. The club's presidential elections are approaching, and political groups are already beginning to articulate support and strategies. The SRN, being a strong group within the red-black political structure, has stood out for its organization and capacity to mobilize members.
Those present discussed, among other topics, the possible implications of a possible Dunshee's candidacy. His name has been circulating among members for some time, but now, with the explicit support of the SRN, his candidacy is gaining strength. The members highlighted that Dunshee is a name of continuity, someone who is already part of the current management and deeply knows the challenges and needs of the club. This, in the group's view, represents a positive point, as Dunshee could continue the projects started under the Landim administration.

Flamengo continues to debate whether to look for a replacement for Pedro, a striker who is recovering from an injury. The decision is complex, involving several variables ranging from the financial cost to the availability of players on the market. One of the main points under discussion is the high cost of a possible replacement. The club is aware that signing a center forward may require a significant investment, something that needs to be carefully evaluated within the team's current budget.
In addition, Flamengofaces the challenge of downtime of players available on the market. The transfer window has come to an end and Flamengowill remain with Matheus Gonçalves until next year. The young midfielder aroused interest from Rio Ave (POR) and Bragantino, a team he was loaned to last season. However, the operations did not continue due to different impasses, and the athlete's will prevailed.
O Flamengo managed to drag out negotiations with Bragantino. The Bragança Paulista team offered a value of 6 million euros (R$ 37.3 million), a value that Rubro-Negro considered acceptable by 50% and not by 70% as the São Paulo team wanted. The parties continued negotiating but, with other investments in the window, the Bragança club reached its budget limit and the ceiling of only 3 million euros (R$ 18.6 million).
VALUES PRESENTED< /b>Thus, according to information from GE, two business models were discussed based on this value: the purchase of 70% of economic rights or the loan with an obligation to purchase after meeting targets. Highlighting that in this second, Mais Querido would receive the 3 million euros and another 4 million euros (R$ 24.8 million) from next season, conditional on meeting goals.
< b>"EXCHANGE" FOR LÉO ORTIZHowever, one factor weighed on Flamengo's decision. This is because Rubro-Negro wanted to get back at Bragantino for making negotiations for Léo Ortiz difficult. Therefore, Mais Querido did not release the midfielder to the São Paulo team.
Matheus Gonçalves even received an offer from Rio Ave (POR), and Flamengo accepted it. However, the young man did not want to go to the Portuguese club and will remain at Mais Querido until the next transfer window.
