With Pedro's goal at the end of the second stage, Flamengo once again beat Amazonas in the third stage of the Copa do Brasil. On aggregate, Mengão won 2-0. Now, CRF awaits their opponent in the round of 16. Despite the classification and the two victories, we can highlight that due to the difference in the squads and the financial power of the teams, it was expected that Mengão would pass with a greater difference in the aggregate result.

Adilson Batista, Amazonas coach, held a press conference after the game and spoke about the match. He began his analysis of the duel, highlighting that his team did well in both halves of the duel.  “We played a good game. We had a good first half. We then took risks with the exchanges, we were also good in most of the second half”, began the commander.

For him, one of the team's biggest problems was the goal conceded, where he saw the team's bad luck in the deflection who ended up directly interfering in Pedro's goal, which ended the confrontation. “We were unfortunate with the goal, the deflection on the rebound. But I have to praise their behavior. Everything they did made me proud, so we could improve in the competition”, added Adilson Batista.

Now, Mengão is preparing for two important games in a row. Next Tuesday night (28), Flamengo will face Millonarios, from Colombia, at home, in the last round of the Libertadores group stage. For the Brasileirão, Rubro-Negro Carioca faces Vasco on June 2nd.

RAIN ALERT IN CAXIAS DO SUL CONCERNS FLAMENGO

This Wednesday (26), the Flamengo will take to the field against Juventude at 8pm, at Alfredo Jaconi, for the 12th round of the Brazilian Championship. The clash promises to be challenging not only due to the opponent, but also due to the adverse weather conditions predicted for the day of the game. According to the website "Clima Tempo", the weather forecast for Wednesday indicates heavy rain throughout the day in Caxias do Sul. The probability of precipitation is high, with an 86% chance, and an accumulated rainfall of 30mm. Temperatures will be between 10°C and 13°C, adding an extra challenge for the teams on the field.

Flamengo has already faced similar situations in Caxias do Sul. The region's climate can be a decisive factor, influencing not only the state of the pitch, but also the dynamics of the game. In the last matches held at Alfredo Jaconi, the weather conditions were not favorable for the Rio team, which needs to prepare for a heavy and possibly slippery game scenario.

FLAMENGO GOES AFTER VICTORY

Preparation for this game should also consider recent weather events in the region. Last Monday (24), it rained hail in Bento Gonçalves, a city close to Caxias do Sul, in Serra Gaúcha. This phenomenon highlights the climate instability that can directly affect team performance and player safety.

For Flamengo, playing in adverse conditions can be a significant test for the team. Heavy rain can make it difficult to move the ball and execute the strategies planned by the coach. Furthermore, the low temperature can influence the physical resistance of players, especially those less accustomed to the colder climate in the south of the country.

THE "LEADER" DAVID LUIZ, ZAGUEIRO'S STATISTICS IMPRESSIVE IN THE LAST GAMES

David Luiz has been an important player for the Flamengo, standing out both for its technical performance and physical resistance. The 37-year-old defender started Rubro-Negro's last six games, demonstrating enviable consistency. In five of those matches, he remained on the field from start to finish, only being substituted in the last duel against Fluminense due to knee pain.

The veteran defender has shown that he still has a lot to offer Flamengo. His presence on the field goes beyond simple defensive performance; David Luiz contributes significantly to the construction of plays and has even found the back of the opponent's net. The experience acquired throughout his international career has been reflected in the security he transmits to the red and black defense.

A STRONG RISE IN THE LAST SEASON

In recent games, David Luiz not only did well his role in the defense as well as taking on the responsibility of leading the team. His vision of the game and ability to organize the defensive line have been fundamental for Flamengo to maintain defensive consistency. Furthermore, his competitive spirit and determination are clear examples of professionalism for younger players.

Despite his age, David Luiz has demonstrated impressive physical shape. Participating in five complete games in a short period requires exemplary physical preparation. Even in the duel against Fluminense, where he needed to be replaced, the defender showed willingness and commitment until the moment the pain in his knee became unbearable.

Tite had already been insulted when his name appeared on the screen, before the match, and was again heavily questioned after the final whistle. The commander will have to reinvent himself if he wants to remove this pressure.

At the press conference, Adílson Batista, Amazonas coach, spoke about the game and praised the Flamengo coach, as well as the Flamengo team. In his view, the mission was accomplished, despite the difficulty.

“Congratulations for fulfilling what was trained, was observed from Flamengo, the great team they have, the great coach they have, Tite... Of the difficulties that we were going to face, but with courage, respecting and shortening. Within our proposal, we fulfilled it very well”, he said.

“I have to thank, since I arrived, (I received) affection and respect. Today we represent the fans with dignity and they must be super happy and praise the way these boys did”, explained Adilson Batista, who continued:

“We need their help in Series B and in the next clash against Flamengo for the Brazil's Cup. Together, we will come out stronger, a competitive team, that's what we will demand”, he added.

“Flamengo has a transition, the fastest I think. So, we have to take due care (for the second game). Have balance in the sectors, be a little calm, we still have some time until the commitment”, he concluded.

Meanwhile, Mengão has a tough stop ahead, which is to face Red Bull Bragantino away from home, on Saturday (4), for the Brazilian Championship. Tite will need to respond together with the team.

CRF is going through its worst moment of the season, even though it only had two defeats this year. The game itself isn't working, the wingers don't create plays and Pedro just appears to fight between the defenders.
