Flamengo will have a decisive duel for a place in the round of 16 of the Libertadores da América this Wednesday (15). Rubro-Negro faces Bolívar, at Maracanã, at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), in the fifth round of the group stage, and needs a victory to stay alive in the fight for the knockout stage.

Coach of the Bolivian team, Flávio Robatto planned the confrontation and passed the responsibility into the hands of Flamengo. "The team is in great need, they are forced to win. They have the best squad on the continent. It will be very difficult, but we hope to be up to the task," he said.

Bolívar is the leader of Group E, with 10 points. There is a six advantage for Flamengo, third place. Even if they lose the game at Maracanã, the Bolivian team will be practically guaranteed in the round of 16. Second-placed Palestino can reach the same 10 points, but has nine fewer goals in the table.

However, according to Flávio Robatto, the players want to play a leading role in Rio: "This Wednesday will not only be a football challenge, because we will probably be classified when the match ends, but a challenge for glory It's an emotional challenge for the athletes, who are eager to show that they can be protagonists in such a difficult duel."

After the draw between Millonarios and Palestino last Tuesday (14), Flamengo once again depended solely on itself to advance to the round of 16. To do this, Rubro-Negro needs to win the two remaining games in the group stage.
