Flamengo beat Red Bull Bragantino by 2 to 1 last Sunday (25), at Maracanã, in a match valid for the 24th round of the Brazilian Championship. The coach of the São Paulo team, Pedro Caixinha, praised the red and black team, he highlighted the greatness of the club, but stated that he faced Mais Querido on equal terms, and that his team surprised Mengão, especially in the second half.

The coach saw his team as the best in the match at that moment and that they would be able to win, however, midfielder Raul's own goal took away some of the concentration that Massa Bruta had on their return to the second stage.
“We have absolutely nothing to point out to our team. Today, if I hadn't conceded the second goal, at the moment it was, I would venture to say that we would leave here with a victory. I know and feel what would happen in the game. We didn't succeed, but we continued fighting for a draw. I think we were penalized for scoring a draw and shortly after Flamengo's second goal came out, which was the final result”, he pointed out.
