Unsuccessful in his time in international football so far, Gustavo Scarpa has a chance of being repatriated soon. The midfielder is of interest to several Brazilian clubs, including Flamengo. Nottingham Forest, holder of the athlete's rights, agreed to get rid of him in the next transfer window. The English club, however, makes two demands to release Scarpa.
The interested party will have to pay entirely for the player's salary, who currently receives 330 thousand pounds a month (around R$ 1.5 million). Furthermore, if it is a loan, the athlete can be signed for a maximum of 12 months.
In principle, the Premiere League club has already defined the values for negotiating the player. In this sense, Nottingham Forest asks for between 5 and 6 million euros, around 30 to 35 million reais, to release Gustavo Scarpa permanently.
Flamengo is monitoring Scapa's situation and is considering making an offer by the player. With no space at Nottingham Forest, the Brazilian midfielder currently plays on loan at Olympiacos, in Greece, alongside Rodinei, formerly of Flamengo.
It's worth remembering that Fla may have competition for the midfielder. This is because Atlético-Mg signaled that it wants to count on the player in 2024 and promises to enter into negotiations.
With notable spells at Palmeiras and Fluminense, Scarpa has yet to find the net and has played 20 games in European football, 10 of which with the Nottingham Forest shirt and after the loan, he played 10 representing Olympiacos.
The teams play the first game of the quarterfinals at 7 p.m.

Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores.
Alex Sandro and Plata, debutants in last Sunday's classic, remain in the team after having good performances in the draw against Vasco. Gabigol is now out of the relationship due to fibrosis in the posterior muscle of his right thigh. Flamengo, in a statement, reported that the athlete did not suffer any injury in the region. However, the Technical Committee opted for precaution and did not list him for the duel against Peñarol due to fibrosis in the region. Gabi is handed over to physiotherapists and physical trainers for the series of decisive games of the season."
