Flamengo has defined Victor Hugo's future . The 21-year-old midfielder will be loaned to Santos until December 2026. The player already has a trip scheduled for next Sunday (31), when he will be introduced to his new club in Baixada Santista. The negotiation was led by the club's president Luiz Eduardo Baptista (Bap), according to information from journalist Venê Casagrande.
The youngster's departure is part of Flamengo 's roster restructuring process, which seeks to optimize the squad and generate new revenue. In recent days, the club also completed the sale of Matheus Gonçalves to Al Ahli in Saudi Arabia and the loan of Lorran to Pisa in Italy . Now, the board is focusing its efforts on negotiations involving Michael and Juninho, who may be the next to leave Ninho do Urubu.
According to Venê Casagrande, Corinthians also attempted to sign Victor Hugo and held talks with his representatives and Flamengo . However, the midfielder opted for Santos, attracted mainly by the possibility of playing alongside Neymar, who is expected to strengthen the São Paulo club.
A product of Ninho, Victor Hugo was promoted to the professional team in 2022 and participated in the Copa do Brasil and Libertadores victories . Despite a promising start, he lost his place under Tite and was loaned to Turkish football.

Rede Globo has selected its team to broadcast the match between Flamengo and Grêmio , this Sunday (31), for the Brazilian Championship. The duel will be shown on national television, with the exception of the state of São Paulo , which will follow Santos x Fluminense, live from Vila Belmiro.
In the Rubro-Negro game, the narration will be done by Gustavo Villani, while the comments will be made by Júnior and Roger Flores , a traditional duo in the broadcaster's broadcasts for games focused on the Rio de Janeiro public.
