Almost three years after the death of Marília Mendonça, grandmother loses custody of Leo, 5, after a court decision that points to negligence and parental alienation.

The 2nd Family Court of the District of Goiânia ruled in favor of Murilo Huff , granting the singer sole custody of his five-year-old son, Leo, from his relationship with singer Marília Mendonça. The decision comes after serious allegations against Dona Ruth, the artist's mother, who had been caring for the child since her daughter's death in 2021.
Almost two weeks after losing custody of her grandson, Dona Ruth spoke out publicly again, expressing sadness over the outcome. " They were together until he went and asked for custody ," she said in an interview with TV Globo's Fantástico program, which will air this Sunday, July 13.
In the proceedings, which began in June, Murilo Huff presented to the court what he considered to be serious reasons for requesting custody. The ruling alleges that Dona Ruth had made it difficult for the father to access medical information about his son, who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes —a condition that requires strict control and ongoing monitoring.
According to the court records, messages and audio recordings between the child's nannies reveal direct instructions from the grandmother to conceal Murilo's medical information. The ruling determined that Dona Ruth will be able to see her grandson every two weeks. The businesswoman has filed an appeal to try to reverse the decision.
The judge reports: “ Audio recordings and messages exchanged between the hired nannies reveal that the maternal grandmother , with whom the minor currently resides, frequently omits essential medical information from the parent, prevents the sending of clinical reports and assessments, instructs that medications, reports and symptoms be hidden, to the point of providing direct guidance.”
In a statement sent to the newspaper Extra , Dona Ruth's lawyers defended her grandmother's role in caring for the child. According to the statement: "Contrary to what was alleged, the grandmother always provided the necessary care for the child's health, including medical monitoring and special attention given his diagnosis of type 1 diabetes, a disease that requires vigilance, dedication, and knowledge, which she always provided consistently."
The influencer revealed that she paid for her daughter's event, but suppliers were not paid and did not show up to organize the party.

Last week, influencer Karoline Lima threw a big party for Cecília, her daughter with Éder Militão. Thus, this Sunday (13), she appeared on her social media to clarify a situation that involved the organization of the event.
Karoline revealed that she had experienced discomfort with the professional hired to manage her daughter's event and decided to speak out after receiving reports of losses from suppliers.
" I didn't want to talk about this, but I have to. If I'm feeling uncomfortable about this topic, imagine the other people involved," Karoline Lima began, before explaining the problem.
According to her, Luciana Fontaine, the event organizer, failed to pay the hired professionals and even promised that the services would be paid for with publications made by Karoline, which was not part of the agreement. Léo Pereira 's girlfriend stated that she paid for the event in full precisely to avoid commercial partnerships.
" I said I didn't want any partnership because you need to pay attention to your partners, recording videos , making appointments. I wanted to enjoy the day with my daughter," he explained.
Karoline said she discovered the problem after her team was contacted by suppliers demanding payment for the promised posts. Seeking clarification, she contacted the professionals involved directly and received audio recordings in which the organizer stated that payment would be made through social media advertising.
"She promised the people who came to do services at the party [...] that payment would be made through my promotions, stories, and posts. She took the money for herself and didn't pay anyone," Karoline highlighted.
At the end of her story, Karoline warned the public about the professional and made it clear that she intends to take legal action: "What I have to say is: don't book an event with this woman because she will use your name, you will pay, and the partners will lose out. I am extremely upset about this situation. "
