Flamengo sent the first proposal to Zenit for Claudinho last week. The Russian club gave a positive sign that it agrees to negotiate the player with Rubro – Negro, but has not yet responded to the conditions presented.
The first proposal from Mais Querido was R£ 15 million euros ( BRL 80 million at the current exchange rate). The installment plan proposed by Flamengo was for 5 years, paying the Russian club 10 fixed installments of 1.5 million euros. This amount would correspond to 100% of the player's economic rights and does not include bonuses for titles.
After giving the "ok" for the negotiation, Flamengo awaits Zenit to discuss the amounts and payment method. Rubro Negro knows that it will have to increase the value of the proposal, mainly for the inclusion of bonuses based on goals. The player has the desire to play for Mais Querido and has already agreed with the club on the issue of salary and contract length.
Flamengo has just 14 days to close the signing of the player, as the window of transfers ends on August 2nd. The club hopes to have the player before the match against Olimpia valid for the round of 16 of the Libertadores.
