Next Friday (01), coach Dorival Júnior will make his first call-up for the Brazilian team's friendlies. In this way, Canarinho was once again present at Tite's press conference after Flamengo's victory against Fluminense. The coach was asked if Pedro would have a chance with "Amarelinha", and in his response he made it clear that all athletes are available for Dorival.

“All Flamengo athletes are available for the Brazilian team. I give absolutely no right as a coach to restrict. It's a way of professional advancement", said Tite in a press conference after Flamengo's victory against Fluminense.

EXPECTATIONS FOR A CALL-UP

With the call-up date approaching, some Flamengo players live in anticipation of being called up by Dorival Júnior. Among them, Pedro is the most likely to be called up, as He is Mais Querido's top scorer this season and Carioca's runner-up. Furthermore, the number 9 has been playing great games with Manto Sagrado.

Remembering that Tite, while commanding the Brazilian team, called up Pedro for the World Cup qualifiers and friendlies. The striker even went to the 2022 World Cup, and entered extra time in the elimination against Croatia.

FOCUS ON CARIOCA

While waiting for a call-up, Pedro and all other Flamengo players focus on preparing for the next matches in the Campeonato Carioca. The cast of Mais Querido receives a day off this Monday (26th), and will return to CT Ninho do Urubu on Tuesday (27th), to begin preparing for the game against Madureira.

The next and last match of the Guanabara Cup will be on Saturday (02), against Madureira. The game will start at 4pm, at Maracanã and will be broadcast live on Band (open TV) and the GOAT channel, YouTube.

Defender Léo Pereira and full-back Alex Sandro received their third yellow card in the goalless draw against Cruzeiro and are serving an automatic suspension.

Alex Sandro was cautioned in the 11th minute for a hard foul on Christian without the ball. Léo Pereira was booked for fouling Kaio Jorge, accumulating infractions that resulted in a suspension . The absence of the duo forces changes in the red-and-black defense.

With the absences, coach Filipe Luís is expected to make changes. The likely starting lineup includes Rossi; Varela (or Emerson Royal), Danilo, Léo Ortiz, and Viña (or Ayrton Lucas); Jorginho (Allan or De La Cruz), Saúl, and Arrascaeta; Samuel Lino, Gonzalo Plata (or Carrascal), and Pedro . Leading the table with 55 points, Flamengo is looking to open up a gap over Palmeiras and Cruzeiro, who are closely tied.
