The Deliberative Council of the Clube de Regatas do Flamengo announced this Tuesday the call for an extraordinary meeting for April 1st. The main objective will be to vote on the sponsorship agreement proposed by Banco de Brasília (BRB), which provides for the brand's exposure on the "shoulder" property of the uniforms of several of the club's teams for a period of 24 months, the equivalent of two years.  AGREEMENT ALMOST FINALIZED

This agreement, if approved, will cover not only the men's professional soccer team, but also the women's professional football, as well as men's and women's youth teams, in the Under-17 and Under-20 categories. Flamengo, known for its greatness and its fervent fan base, is constantly looking for partnerships that strengthen its financial structure and its competitiveness on the national and international sporting scene.

This agreement with BRB represents another opportunity for the club to expand its presence in the market and invest in its growth and development. Banco de Brasília, in turn, seeks through this partnership to expand its visibility and reach, taking advantage of the great exposure provided by Flamengo, one of the biggest and most popular football teams in Brazil. This association can open doors to new business opportunities and strengthen BRB's brand in the sporting scene.

It is worth highlighting that the sponsorship proposal comes at a crucial time for Flamengo, which seeks to maintain its hegemony on the national stage and win important titles. The club has invested heavily in its structure and in notable signings, and partnerships like this are essential to make such investments viable.

In addition, Flamengo has a rich history of athletes who marked an era, both in Brazil as abroad. An emblematic example is Zico, the ultimate idol of the Red and Black fans, who shone on the pitch and left an unparalleled legacy for the club. Names like Ronaldinho Gaúcho, Adriano Imperador and many others also left their mark on Flamengo's history, contributing to the construction of one of the greatest traditions in Brazilian football.

speculations about Lucas Paquetá's transfer to Manchester Cityremain on the rise, but a significant hurdle still needs to be resolved before the deal can move forward. The player's representative team is anxiously awaiting a position from the Football Association (FA) on the investigations involving Paquetá's name in an alleged betting case. This situation has been a crucial factor in determining whether the negotiation, which is worth around 70 million pounds (approximately R$455 million), can go ahead.

The FA, the body that regulates football in England, began investigations into the possible involvement of Lucas Paquetá in betting activities. Specific details about what exactly is being investigated are still scarce, but it is known that any betting-related violations are taken very seriously in English football and can result in severe sanctions for both the players and clubs involved.

The Manchester City, the current Premier League champions, still maintain interest in Paquetá, believing he could be a valuable addition to Pep Guardiola's squad. The club is willing to pay the same 70 million pounds previously agreed, but the condition is that the player is free from any legal implications that could affect his performance or availability to play.

Lucas Paquetá, currently at West Ham has been one of the team's highlights and, naturally, caught the attention of major European clubs. The possibility of moving to Manchester City represents a significant step forward in his career, allowing him to play for one of the most competitive teams in Europe and under the command of one of the most respected coaches in the world.

The climate between Gabigol and the board of Flamengo went cold after a photo of the striker wearing a Corinthians shirt was leaked. The player was punished and is now banned from using Gávea's 10 in the Copa do Brasil and Brasileirão. Furthermore, the directors decided not to make it difficult for the athlete to leave in the mid-year transfer window.

According to the portal "Coluna do Fla", Flamengo's management 'threw in the towel' after Gabigol used the Corinthians shirt at a party. The red and black directors do not intend to make great efforts to renew the striker, in addition to not hindering a possible departure in the next transfer window.

DATE THAT OPENS THE WINDOW OF TRANSFERS

It is important to highlight that Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) defined that the mid-year transfer window begins on 10 July, ending on September 2nd. This way, if any club makes an advantageous proposal to Flamengo for Gabigol, the red and black board can accept a possible offer.

GABIGOL'S CONTRACT WITH FLAMENGO

Gabigol, in fact, has a contract with Flamengo until December 31st of this year. In other words, the attacker can sign a pre-contract with any club from July onwards and leave Mais Querido for free in January 2025. Currently, negotiations for a renewal are stagnant, despite the athlete having expressed his desire to remain at Red-Black.

The Bank of Brasília (BRB) recorded recurring profits of R$200 million in 2023, an increase of 24.4% compared to the previous year. The customer base grew 13.3%, to 7.6 million. Now, the bank is entering a new phase of consolidation, after very strong expansion in recent years. The credit portfolio increased by 17.7%, to R$35.8 billion. In individuals, the increase was much smaller, 1.6%, to R$18.0 billion. The expansion was driven by personal credit, while payroll loans, which account for R$13.7 billion, fell 4.2%. In legal entities, the expansion was 36.5%, to R$4.9 billion. Default ended December at 2.25%, up from 2.12% in the previous year.

“This performance was achieved in the midst of a challenging year, with domestic and international instability. The decisive investments in technology, innovation and expansion made by the bank over the last five years have shown excellent results, but now we are entering a new moment, a phase of consolidation”, says the president of BRB, Paulo Henrique Costa.

He points out that in five years the bank went from 650 thousand to 7.6 million customers; from R$15.2 billion to R$49.3 billion in total assets; from R$9.1 billion to R$35.8 billion in credit portfolio. “We stopped being a regional bank and became national, we changed scale and now it is time to consolidate this position, invest in technology, improve processes, gain operational efficiency, slow down the expansion of expenses.”

Regarding the 2023 result, Costa highlights the 28.8% increase in financial margin, helped by the change in portfolio mix; the results of subsidiaries, such as finance, the security area, which reached R$1 billion in premiums, and the payments segment; and revenue from services, which jumped 18.9% in the year, also reflecting diversification efforts.

Nação BRB Fla, a digital bank in partnership with Flamengo, reached 3.5 million open accounts and 1 million activated cards. Last week, the bank announced that it is reformulating the partnership, with the creation of a new company, in which Flamengo will have a purchase option of up to 45%. The parties will have three contracts. The first two, with duration
