Carlos Alcaraz is going through an important final stretch of the season at Everton. The deal states that, upon reaching its goals, Everton will be required to pay 15 million euros (R$98.8 million at the current exchange rate) for the player. The amount could reach 18 million euros (R$118 million) with additional bonuses. Alcaraz was signed by Flamengo from Juventus in 2024 as one of the club's main bets for the season. At the time, he cost around 12 million euros, making him the club's biggest signing of the year.
However, the player was unable to adapt to coach Tite's style of play and had few opportunities as a starter. With the approval of the coaching staff, especially Filipe Luís , he was loaned to Everton in early 2025. In English football, he took a while to get going. Argentine midfielder Esequiel Barco has returned to Flamengo's radar .
