Andrade, former Flamengo player and coach, updated the health status of Adílio, also a former player at the club, last Thursday. Andrade reported that, under the circumstances, Adílio is fine. He visited him recently and found that Adílio can recognize him and speak, albeit slowly. Andrade highlighted the seriousness of the situation, mentioning that Adílio is fighting cancer and appealed to the fans to pray for him
."I was with him yesterday (Thursday), he recognizes you , talks to you slowly. But it's complicated, he has cancer, let's pray to God," said Andrade.
Adílio, an emblematic figure at Flamengo, won several titles with the club, including the Copa Libertadores and the Club World Cup in 1981. His health status is closely monitored by the sporting community and Flamengo fans, who continue to send messages of support and prayers.

The information was released by Andrade in an update shared by the profile @PP7Catonho and Coluna do Fla. Adílio's situation, although delicate, shows signs of improvement as far as possible, as reported by his former teammate. Flamengo fans keep alive the hope of a recovery for the former athlete, who has historical importance for the club.

Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores.

Historical idol and part of the greatest generation of the Flamengo of all time, Andrade confirmed his presence at an event with red and black fans this Sunday (17). Mengão's eternal number 6 will be present for a photo session, autographs and will receive tributes at Espaço Essência Rubro-Negra, at Shopping Camboinhas, in Niterói.
The event with Andrade is scheduled to start at 3pm and should count on a good presence of fans. According to the organizers of the “Essência de Craque” event, around 60 tickets were put on sale and, if they are sold out, there is the possibility of increasing capacity. Tickets cost R$ 150 and can be purchased on site.
The Flamengo idol is the third member of the champion team of Libertadores and the 1981 World Cup that will participate in Essência de Craque in 2024. The first was former full-back Leandro, in January, who attracted a large number of red and black fans. Then, it was defender Mozer's turn to interact with the fans and receive tributes. In addition to photos and autographs, the event includes a commemorative shirt.
It is worth noting that the match will take place the day after the Fla x Flu decisive match in the semi-final of the Campeonato Carioca. Once Mengão's classification is confirmed, which has a two-goal advantage, fans present at the event will be able to celebrate their place in the final alongside Andrade.
