Flamengo e a Seleção Brasileira receberam uma notícia preocupante nesta semana. A zagueira Duda Mattos sofreu uma grave lesão durante um treinamento com a Seleção Feminina Sub-20, realizado na última terça-feira (27), na Granja Comary, em Teresópolis. Após a realização de exames de imagem, foi confirmada a ruptura do ligamento cruzado anterior (LCA) do joelho esquerdo da atleta.
A defensora participava da última fase de preparação da equipe nacional visando a disputa do Campeonato Sul-Americano da categoria. Com o diagnóstico confirmado, Duda foi cortada da convocação da técnica Camilla Orlando e não poderá disputar o torneio continental.
Imediatamente após o incidente, os protocolos médicos foram acionados. Em comunicado oficial, a Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) informou que a jogadora está recebendo todo o suporte necessário do Departamento Médico da Seleção, além de contar com o acompanhamento integral dos profissionais do futebol feminino do Flamengo.
O clube rubro-negro também se manifestou sobre o caso, confirmando a necessidade de intervenção cirúrgica para a correção da lesão. Embora o Flamengo tenha informado que o procedimento ocorrerá em breve, não foi estipulado um prazo exato para a operação ou para o retorno da jovem zagueira aos gramados, que dependerá da evolução do pós-operatório.
