De acordo com projeções financeiras divulgadas pelo clube, o novo modelo fiscal, caso seja mantido nos moldes atuais, pode provocar um prejuízo acumulado de aproximadamente R$ 728 milhões ao longo dos próximos sete anos.
O presidente Luiz Eduardo Baptista, o Bap, classificou o cenário como insustentável. Segundo o dirigente, a mudança na legislação não afeta apenas o futebol profissional, mas coloca em risco a manutenção de modalidades olímpicas e projetos sociais desenvolvidos pelo clube.
Em documento oficial encaminhado a sócios e à imprensa, o Flamengo aponta um “risco real” de inviabilidade financeira para associações esportivas sem fins lucrativos. O texto destaca dois pontos centrais da proposta: o fim de isenções fiscais históricas e o aumento expressivo da carga tributária sobre receitas esportivas. Na avaliação rubro-negra, a nova estrutura cria um desequilíbrio ao penalizar instituições que exercem função social, tornando-as menos sustentáveis do que empresas voltadas exclusivamente ao lucro.
Em entrevista à Flamengo TV, Bap detalhou o impacto direto da reforma sobre os esportes olímpicos mantidos pelo clube. Atualmente, o investimento anual nessas modalidades gira em torno de R$ 70 milhões, enquanto a arrecadação via leis de incentivo não ultrapassa R$ 24 milhões. A diferença, cerca de R$ 46 milhões, é coberta com recursos próprios.
Com a elevação da carga tributária, essa equação deixaria de ser viável: “Se você precisa sustentar 12 negócios e apenas um dá retorno financeiro, manter os outros 11 passa a ser prejudicial.
