Grêmio issued an official note this Tuesday (24), informing that it sent formal notifications to Flamengo and Lance newspaper! due to accusations of racial insult involving striker Carlinhos. The episode occurred after the Rio Grande do Sul club's 3-2 victory over Mais Querido, in a game valid for the Brazilian Championship, last weekend, in Porto Alegre.

< p>EXPERT DISCARDS RACIAL INJURY

According to the statement, Grêmio carried out an examination of the audios and videos related to the incident, which ruled out the occurrence of any racial insult against the athlete from Mengão. The club states that the analyzes were conducted based on advanced technologies and by renowned companies in Brazil and abroad.

"Based on the reports of two specialized companies, it was confirmed that there was no occurrence of racial insult to the Flamengo< /a> in the Arena", declared Grêmio. "Both reports, using different technical methods, reached the same conclusion, refuting any insulting speech", added the club.

In the note, Grêmio criticized the newspaper Lance!, which, according to the club, committed a "huge error" in publishing the accusations, leading the CRF to issue an official position. The club from Rio Grande do Sul claims that the publication caused "enormous damage" to the image of Tricolor and its fans.

"Grêmio informs that it has already sent notifications to Lance! and CR Flamengo, asking them to retract the content published. We will also take all appropriate measures to minimize the great damage caused to the club and its fans", reinforced the official note.

GRÊMIO REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT AGAINST. DISCRIMINATION

Grêmio took advantage of the episode to reiterate its commitment to combating any type of discrimination and reinforced its position in defense of correction and truth.

"We take this opportunity to reaffirm that Grêmio is totally against any form of discrimination and will always continue to act in favor of justice and truth", concluded the statement.

São Paulo manager reveals that he lost Alex Sandro's negotiation to Flamengo

The São Paulo team was one of those interested in signing the full-back

Flamengo closed the last transfer window with four reinforcements, Carlos Alcaraz, Michael, Gonzalo Plata and Alex Sandro. Before signing with Mais Querido, the left-back was scouted by other Brazilian teams, including São Paulo. Muricy Ramalho, the club's football director, stated that it is very difficult to compete with Rubro-Negro.

“We tried Alex Sandro, who was my player, we spoke to him. But what happens is that when it comes to money, you get scared. Thank you, but it doesn't work. It's very difficult, we don't have money, the guys ask for I don't know how many millions. Botafogo hired a guy for R$50 million, that doesn't exist. Alex Sandro went to Flamengo because the offer was very high, we didn't have any money”, revealed Muricy.

It's worth remembering that before moving to Europe, and making history at Juventus, Alex Sandro stood out for Santos, where he was champion of the Libertadores, with Neymar, Danilo, Ganso and company under the command of Muricy Ramalho.

FOCUS ON THE NEXT CONFRONTATION

Like this , with Alex Sandro available, Flamengo continues preparing for the decisive match against Peñarol, in the quarter-finals of the Libertadores. The return match will be played this Thursday (26th), at 7pm, in Montevideo.
