In a match marked by balance and few clear chances, Flamengo was defeated by Corinthians in the last round of the Brazilian Championship. The home team secured a 2-1 victory with goals from Talles Magno and Ángel Romero, while the highlight of the São Paulo team was Rodrigo Garro, who dominated the actions in midfield.

LACK OF CREATIVITY MARKS RUBRO-BLACK PERFORMANCE

On the red-black side, the lack of creativity was the point that caught the most attention. The team led by Tite failed to create significant opportunities throughout the game, which generated frustration among fans. Charly Alcaraz's expulsion in the second half worsened the situation, further compromising Flamengo's chances of a reaction in the match. b>

After yet another defeat, a considerable portion of the red and black fans began to express their discontent, asking for drastic measures to change the team's stance. On social media, many fans called for Tite to leave, with one of them asking: "What day can 'Tite out' start?".

FLAMENGO DISTANCES FROM THE BRAZILIAN TITLE

With the adverse result, Flamengo moved further away from the race for the Brasileirão title, remaining six points behind leader Botafogo. The situation puts even more pressure on Tite and the red and black squad, who will have a full week of training to prepare for the next challenge, the classic against Vasco da Gama, valid for the 26th round of the Brazilian Championship.

According to the statement, the club praised the performance of local authorities in welcoming both the delegation and the fans . The document pointed out that the professionalism of those responsible for security was essential to ensuring peace and quiet during the event. Despite the positive note, members of the squad reported difficulties upon arrival in the country. Striker Bruno Henrique said that there was a delay in immigration service, with only one employee to serve around 50 people. “We waited between an hour and a half or two hours to be served,” said the number 27, who acted as captain in the victory against Táchira.

In the reunion between Flamengo and Vitória this Sunday (6), for the Brasileirão , a remarkable chapter of the red-black history comes back to mind. In 2017, on the same stage, Diego Ribas starred in one of the most symbolic moments of Flamengo's recent trajectory . The midfielder converted a penalty in injury time that guaranteed the victory away from home and, with it, the direct spot in the group stage of the Libertadores.

That season, the match against Vitória, in the last round of the Brasileirão , was decisive. The team from Bahia took the lead, but the Mais Querido reacted with a goal from Rafael Vaz, after a play by Vinicius Júnior. In the end, Diego took the free kick that resulted in a penalty after a handball by the opponent. The number 10 took the shot and sealed the victory with coolness. For the former captain, the move symbolizes more than just a sporting result.

DIEGO RIBAS REMEMBERS THE MOVE
I bought this project..."

According to the player himself, the goal was a milestone in the consolidation of the reconstruction project. “That penalty was so important to me because when I came to Flamengo, I bought into this project together with the board . I knew the steps that had to be taken,” he said. The victory sealed one of the goals set: to be among the continent's protagonists.

The former number 10 recalled that, even without immediate titles, the progress was visible. “We knew that the fans wanted this, but the objective was being achieved, which is to have an increasingly competitive team,” he declared. For him, each step was fundamental until reaching the sporting peak.

DIEGO RIBAS' PARTICIPATION IN THE RESTRUCTURING

Diego concluded by saying that being part of this process was a privilege. "All of this is built, and being part of it was a huge privilege. " The penalty against Vitória not only changed the fate of the game, but also marked one of the most emblematic moments in Mengão 's recent history.

Flamengo makes a lot of mistakes offensively but Arrascaeta and Bruno Henrique give them the victory at Barradão

Once again, the team led by Filipe Luís plays better, but the aim at the time of finishing hinders the team's performance on the field.

Flamengo took to the field on Sunday night for the second round of the Brazilian championship. Filipe Luís's team faced Vitória at the Barradão stadium in Bahia . The idea was to secure their first win in the competition, as they had drawn 0-0 in their debut against Inter at the Maracanã. In this sense, the team from Rio won 2-1 (Arrascaeta and Bruno Henrique), but they were very poor at setting up and finishing plays.

SUMMARY

The first half at Barradão was dominated by Flamengo , but the visitors were unable to open the scoring. The most dangerous moment came in the 30th minute, when Juninho, seconds after sending the ball out, received a pass from Arrascaeta and shot against Lucas Arcanjo's crossbar. Vitória tried to create danger with counterattacks, but were stopped by a solid performance from the Rio defense.

In the second half, despite Vitória trying to show more firepower to its fans, Flamengo's defense had little trouble and managed to neutralize its rival from Bahia. Up front, Juninho missed some opportunities and the attack was not calibrated. However, what seemed to be another 0x0 for Fla, changed due to Arrascaeta's genius. In the 16th minute, the number 10 tackled Janderson, fell, got up and managed to keep possession before finishing under Lucas Halter's legs! Lucas Arcanjo jumped, but was unable to prevent Flamengo's goal.

With the Rio de Janeiro team ahead, Vitória was forced to come out more for a draw and in one of the few good plays by the Bahian team, it came. At 31 minutes, Wellington Rato made it all even at Barradão . The midfielder received the ball on the right and tried his luck from outside the area. The ball deflected off Gerson before ending up in the back of the net, leaving Rossi with no chance. From then on, Flamengo, the better team in the game, launched itself into the attack, but without any offensive organization. When it was thought that the score would be 1-1, the savior of the nation appeared. At 41 minutes, Bruno Henrique scored a beautiful goal, giving the final score to the game and the first victory in the competition.

AND NOW?

With this result, Flamengo now has four points in the first two rounds of the Brasileirão. However, the team led by Filipe Luís needs to turn things around, because there is the Libertadores ahead . The team from Gávea will host Central Córdoba, from Argentina, next Wednesday, at 9:30 pm, at Maracanã, for the second round of the group stage.

In the Brasileirão, the red-black team will only return to the field next weekend. The team from Rio will face Grêmio, away from home, next Sunday, at 6:30 pm.
