Nearly, almost Flamengocame out with the victory over Millionarios in this Tuesday's match (2). However, due to an individual failure of the defense, Mais Querido only managed a draw in the Libertadores debut. However, despite gaining just one point in the first round, coach Tite maintained his unbeaten record in debuts in the competition.

In this way, the Mais Querido commander never lost in Libertadores debuts. Tite has several victories in the competition on his resume and, in addition, a title in 2012 with Corinthians. In the year in which the coach lifted the trophy, the São Paulo team debuted the dispute away from home with a draw, in the same way as happened in 2024.

INVENTIBILITY IN THE SEASON

After the draw this Tuesday (2), Flamengoreached their 15th unbeaten game of the season. In between, there were 10 wins and five draws. Furthermore, Mais Querido has scored 29 goals and conceded two. In other words, 77.2% success rate.

Now, the Mais Querido cast returns to Rio de Janeiro and performs again at Ninho do Urubu this Thursday (4), to begin preparations for the return match of the Carioca final, next Sunday (7), at 5pm, at Maracanã, against Nova Iguaçu.

Midfielder Arthur, currently without a place at Juventus, was offered to Flamengo this transfer window. The player, who is close to returning to Grêmio , was analyzed by the Flamengo board, but without progress.

According to journalist Venê Casagrande, on his YouTube channel, the Rio de Janeiro club only sounded out values , in a move considered routine behind the scenes, but did not open negotiations for his signing.

ARTHUR'S FOOTBALL CAREER

Arthur emerged as a promising player at Barcelona, but failed to maintain regularity in European football. He played for Juventus, Liverpool, and Girona without much success. Last season, on loan to Fiorentina, he performed well and managed to regain some of his prestige.

For Juventus, the Brazilian made 63 appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist. Still, he's not in the Italian club's plans, and they're considering a permanent exit.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF RUBRO-NEGRO

While Arthur's name is being circulated on the transfer market, Flamengo remains focused on strengthening other positions. A center forward and a goalkeeper are the main targets for José Boto's football department.

Lucas Paquetá, a Flamengo talent who currently plays for West Ham, has been linked to a major transfer controversy this summer. The midfielder was speculated about a possible return to the club, having faced accusations of involvement in sports betting manipulation, which could even result in a permanent ban from football.

However, Paquetá was acquitted and was free to pursue his career . In response to the speculation, West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady gave a definitive answer about the number 10's future.

LUCAS PAQUETÁ WILL NOT RETURN TO BRAZIL

In a recent interview, Karren Brady highlighted the English club's confidence in Lucas Paquetá's continued presence. According to the director, there is no intention of negotiating the player during this transfer window.

" I think he wants to stay here, and we definitely want him to stay. So the fact is, he's going to stay here," Brady said, putting an end to rumors about a possible transfer.

WEST HAM MANAGER REVEALS DETAILS

In addition to confirming his continued presence, the English director also revealed the behind-the-scenes story of a turbulent period in the midfielder's career. The match-fixing accusation generated uncertainty about his future , both at club level and internationally.

"It was a very difficult time in Lucas's life. It was a very serious accusation that hung over him , and the FA wanted to ban him for life. So the seriousness of the situation was enormous," explained Karren Brady.
