Flamengo took advantage of almost two weeks of work during Data Fifa, which provided a necessary rest before of the marathon of games that lie ahead from Saturday (30). In addition to the first match of the final Campeonato Carioca, at 5pm, against Nova Iguaçu, Rubro-Negro will face a total of nine matches in one month.

During this period, you will have the opportunity to compete for a title, finish the first round of the Libertadores group stage and play four rounds of the Brasileirão. In addition, they will face two exhausting trips to Colombia and Bolivia, where they will play at high altitudes against Millionarios and Bolívar. Fortunately, Rubro-Negro will play five of these games at Maracanã, which makes logistics easier for the coaching staff.

FLAMENGO FACES CARIOCA AND LIBERTADORES FINALS

Facing a challenging month, the training period is considered crucial to rest and adjust some game situations in search of improvement, even given the good performance at the beginning of the season.

"This break was important to rest body and mind. I believe we managed to align some details that we were missing in previous matches", celebrated Léo Pereira in an interview with FlaTV.

Despite the free time, coach Tite was unable to count on all the players , as six of them were absent, defending the Brazilian (Fabrício Bruno and Ayrton Lucas) and Uruguayan (Arrascaeta, De La Cruz, Varela and Viña) teams. Only this Thursday (28) did he have the complete group.

speculations about Lucas Paquetá's transfer to Manchester Cityremain on the rise, but a significant hurdle still needs to be resolved before the deal can move forward. The player's representative team is anxiously awaiting a position from the Football Association (FA) on the investigations involving Paquetá's name in an alleged betting case. This situation has been a crucial factor in determining whether the negotiation, which is worth around 70 million pounds (approximately R$455 million), can go ahead.

The FA, the body that regulates football in England, began investigations into the possible involvement of Lucas Paquetá in betting activities. Specific details about what exactly is being investigated are still scarce, but it is known that any betting-related violations are taken very seriously in English football and can result in severe sanctions for both the players and clubs involved.

The Manchester City, the current Premier League champions, still maintain interest in Paquetá, believing he could be a valuable addition to Pep Guardiola's squad. The club is willing to pay the same 70 million pounds previously agreed, but the condition is that the player is free from any legal implications that could affect his performance or availability to play.

Lucas Paquetá, currently at West Ham has been one of the team's highlights and, naturally, caught the attention of major European clubs. The possibility of moving to Manchester City represents a significant step forward in his career, allowing him to play for one of the most competitive teams in Europe and under the command of one of the most respected coaches in the world.

The climate between Gabigol and the board of Flamengo went cold after a photo of the striker wearing a Corinthians shirt was leaked. The player was punished and is now banned from using Gávea's 10 in the Copa do Brasil and Brasileirão. Furthermore, the directors decided not to make it difficult for the athlete to leave in the mid-year transfer window.

According to the portal "Coluna do Fla", Flamengo's management 'threw in the towel' after Gabigol used the Corinthians shirt at a party. The red and black directors do not intend to make great efforts to renew the striker, in addition to not hindering a possible departure in the next transfer window.

DATE THAT OPENS THE WINDOW OF TRANSFERS

It is important to highlight that Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) defined that the mid-year transfer window begins on 10 July, ending on September 2nd. This way, if any club makes an advantageous proposal to Flamengo for Gabigol, the red and black board can accept a possible offer.

GABIGOL'S CONTRACT WITH FLAMENGO

Gabigol, in fact, has a contract with Flamengo until December 31st of this year. In other words, the attacker can sign a pre-contract with any club from July onwards and leave Mais Querido for free in January 2025. Currently, negotiations for a renewal are stagnant, despite the athlete having expressed his desire to remain at Red-Black.

The president of Flamengo, Rodolfo Landim, took stock of the club's management, focusing especially on achievements in the field of football. Landim highlighted a series of achievements that, according to him, put the club in its best phase since its foundation.

When analyzing the performance of Flamengo in the Copa Libertadores, Landim highlighted the remarkable progress. Since assuming the presidency, the club has played in five consecutive editions of the tournament, reaching three finals and winning two titles. This mark contrasts sharply with the previous record, in which Flamengo had only played in one final in 58 years.

In the Brazilian Championship, the club's trajectory is also impressive. With six titles over 48 years, the average of one win every eight years has been largely surpassed in the last five years, in which Flamengo became champions twice.

FLAMENGO LEADS IN THE RIO DE JANEIRO THE HEGEMONY OF THE TITLE

The hegemony of the Flamengo in the Carioca Championship was also highlighted by Landim. The club played in six consecutive finals, an unprecedented mark in the history of the competition. Furthermore, the performance in recent seasons stands out, with four titles won.

In terms of frequency of titles, Landim compared Flamengo's recent performance with the team's history since its foundation in 1912. Until 2018 , the club had won 34 Rio titles, an average of approximately one title every three years. However, in recent years, Flamengo has won two titles every three years, indicating a significant improvement in performance.
