Flamengo is experiencing a crisis of consecutive injuries. Thus, the club received an unusual visit to bless the Rubro-Negro players and technical committee. This is because Father Sergio Luis visited CT Ninho do Urubu and shared some records on his social networks.

Father Sergio Luis' visit takes place in the week of the confrontation between Flamengo x Bahia, for the return game of quarter-finals of the Copa do Brasil. The game will be on Thursday (12), at 9:30 pm. It is worth remembering that Pedro, Matías Viña, Everton Cebolinha and Michael are certain to be absent due to the serious injuries they suffered.

“It was the day to return to Flamengo's CT to take the Word and bless the players and all technical committee (…) while sharing the Word, everyone paid attention and at the end we prayed together… something that TV and the field don’t show”, wrote the priest.

In addition, Father Sergio also made it clear that the visit had just one purpose: to offer a moment of reflection and spirituality in this delicate moment in which Flamengo lives.

“ I didn't go to CT to pray for them to win championships. This is what the coach should do. I went to CT to pray that they would be filled with the Holy Spirit and have physical, spiritual, mental and emotional health. The rest comes in addition!” he explained.

FOCUS ON THE NEXT GAME

Thus, with the blessing of Father Sergio Luis, the Flamengo squad will reappear at CT Ninho do Urubu this Monday (9) to continue preparing for the clash against Bahia, in the Copa do Brasil, on Thursday (12).
