The São Paulo team will face Mais Querido after losing in the first round of the Brasileirão
|
0This weekend marked the debut of the Brazilian Championship. In this way, all 19 teams in Series A have already faced each other and some have already been embarrassed in the first round of the competition. This is the case of São Paulo, who lost 2-1 to Fortaleza, at Morumbis, last Saturday (13).
Thus, the defeat increased the pressure on the technical committee and players of the São Paulo team. After the final whistle, defender André Silva lamented the bad result and promised that the team will respond in the match against Flamengo, at Maracanã.
“We will continue working to provide an answer in the next game . Whoever wears the São Paulo shirt has to win and deserve it. Of course we're upset about the defeat at home in the Brazilian's debut, but there's not much to say. It's about working and giving a positive response in the next game”, said André Silva after the 2-1 defeat at Morumbis.
SÃO PAULO TECHNICAL IS "BALANCING IN THE JOB"p>
For the match against Flamengo, it is likely that Thiago Carpini will reach maximum strength. This is because the coach is wavering in the position of the São Paulo team, not only due to the poor results he had in important matches, such as the Paulista knockout and the debut in the Brasileirão, but also due to the team's performance.
And FLAMENGO?O Mais Querido started the Brasileirão on the right foot. This is because, in a match marked by refereeing errors and scandals, Rubro-Negro managed to beat Atlético-GO, in Goiânia, by the score of 2 to 1.
In this way, now the Flamengo squad also focuses on the match against São Paulo. The game will be at Maracanã, next Wednesday (17), at 9:30 pm, for the second round of the Brasileirão.
The teams play the first game of the quarterfinals at 7 p.m.

Uruguayan could become the greatest waiter in the history of the Brazilian Championship

0Owning the assist for Gerson's goal in the draw with Vasco, last Sunday, Arrascaeta is approaching a historic milestone in the Brazilian Championship. With the assist he provided, the Uruguayan equaled Dudu and is just nine passes behind Marcelinho Carioca, potentially becoming the greatest assist in the history of the competition.
With 68 assists, Arrascaeta is ahead of names like Scarpa , Everton Ribeiro and Zico in statistics. Playing in Brazilian football since 2015, when he arrived at Cruzeiro, the midfielder has already played 218 matches in the Brazilian Championship, 50 of which were assists with the Flamengo shirt. b>
Arrascaeta stands out not only for his assists, but also for his goals. With 55 goals scored, 36 with the Flamengo shirt, the Uruguayan has remained among the best players in the championship since his debut at Cruzeiro.
Champion in 2019 and 2020, the midfielder has been in three of the last five “ideal teams” in the championship. He is currently the third foreigner with the most goals in Brazilian football this century, with 113 goals, behind only Cano and Paolo Guerrero.
