Cited in the CPI and target of a sexist attack by Ramon Diaz, Daiane Muniz will play in Flamengo's first game in Brasileirão 2024

0Flamengo visits Athletico-PR this Sunday (16), at 4pm, at Ligga Arena, for the 9th round of the Brasileirão 2024. The CBF released this Friday (14) the referee schedule for the game between the leader and 4th placed in the championship. One name caught the attention of fans. The VAR referee will be Daiane Muniz, whose name was mentioned in the CPI das Apostas recently.
The owner of Sociedade Anônima do Futebol (Saf) of Botafogo, John Textor, cited Daiane Muniz in his statement to the CPI of Manipulation of Games and Sports Betting in Football, created in the Federal Senate. At the time, Daiane Muniz was mentioned for being selected in the same match as Raphael Claus in 11 of the 38 rounds of the Brasileirão 2023.
Also according to a survey presented by Textor at the CPI, other combinations of referees took place a maximum of three times during Brasileirão 2023. No evidence of any irregularity was presented against Daiane or Raphael Claus.
Another high-profile case involving Daiane Muniz occurred after Vasco's 2-1 defeat to Red Bull Bragantino, on April 17, in the 2nd round of the Brasileirão. The Vasco fans complained a lot about an unmarked penalty. In the press conference after the following game, against Grêmio, Ramon Diaz stated that it was regrettable that “a woman had to decide on the move”.
The repercussion was enormous. Vasco da Gama himself spoke out on social media condemning the coach, who obviously stated that his words had been misinterpreted. Ramon Diaz left the command of Cruzmaltino shortly afterwards, after being beaten 4-0 by Criciúma in São Januário.
Rubro-negro started the season on the right foot in women's volleyball
|
0The first women's volleyball competition is Mengão's! This Friday (27), Flamengo won the National Cup of Pro-Vôlei Clubs. Against the current Superliga champion, Bernardinho's team played 3 sets to 0 at Minas, with scores of 25-15, 25-18 and 25-17. The duel took place at Ginásio Wilson Mânica, in Ijuí, Rio Grande do Sul.
The tournament featured three clubs and serves as preparation for the 2024/25 Superliga. On Wednesday (25), Flamengo beat Maringá. On Thursday (26), Minas also beat the team from Paraná. Therefore, this Friday (27th) the big decision took place, which had a packed gym.
Despite being a competition to open the season, Flamengo's victory gives a boost to the season. After all, Minas is the team to beat in Brazilian women's volleyball. Thus, in the last five Superligas, the Belo Horizonte team won four titles and one runner-up. In the squad, there are athletes who have played for the Brazilian team, such as Thaísa, Olympic champion and bronze medalist in this year's edition, in Paris.
SuperligaThe dates of the Women's Super League have not yet been announced. However, there is an expectation that the competition will start in October. In total, 12 teams will play the tournament, in a round-robin system, with the eight best qualifying for the quarter-finals.
In the last edition, after all, Flamengo was eliminated by Praia Clube in the semi-final . Therefore, the goal for 2024/25 is to reach the decision and repeat the title won in 2000/01, when Rubro-Negro beat Vasco, in a historic decision at the Ginásio do Maracanãzinho.

0FIFA will announce the venues for the 2025 Super Club World Cup this Saturday (28). The announcement will be made during the Global Citizen Festival. The event will be held in Central Park, New York. FIFA did not detail how many cities and stadiums will host the 2025 edition. This will be the first time that the tournament will feature 32 teams.
The Super World Cup will be held between June 15 and July 13, 2025 The competition already has 30 qualified teams, with three Brazilians among them: Palmeiras, Flamengo and Fluminense. Brazil may have one more representative. This is because Atlético-MG and Botafogo are fighting for the last South American place in the competition — the Libertadores title gives them the place. Peñarol [if they win the Libertadores] and Olímpia [if River wins the Libertadores] are the other teams in the running.
The places are divided into: 12 for Europe, six for South America, four for Asia, Africa and North, Central America and the Caribbean, one for Oceania and one for the host country.
In addition to the remaining MLS spot, which has not yet defined its representative, the other available entry belongs to South America. It is destined for the champion of the edition of 2024 of the Libertadores. If River Plate wins the title, it will be transferred to the Conmebol ranking in FIFA and would already have an owner: Olímpia-PAR.

Flamengo has a very favorable record against Cuca's teams to beat Athletico-PR at the Ligga Arena, this Sunday (16), for the Brasileirão
|
0Flamengo is preparing for a game with Athletico-PR at the Ligga Arena, on Sunday (16), in the ninth round of the Brasileirão. Even though worn out and missing, Fla will have in its favor its very favorable recent record in a reunion with “customer” Cuca to maintain leadership in the table.
Cuca had to face Flamengo in Santos, São Paulo and Atlético-MG, all for Brasileirão. He only managed to avoid defeat with the São Paulo tricolor, who drew the only match under the coach's command. The only team that commanded and did not face Rubro-Negro was Corinthians, where they only played two games.
See the history since 2018:Flamengo 1 x 0 Atlético-MG- Brasileirão 2022
Flamengo 1 x 0 Atlético-MG- Brasileirão 2021
Atlético-MG 2 x 1 Flamengo- Brasileirão 2021
Flamengo 4 x 1 Santos- Brasileirão 2020
Santos 0 x 1 Flamengo- Brasileirão 2020
São Paulo 1 x 1 Flamengo- Brasileirão 2019
Flamengo 1 x 0 Santos- Brasileirão 2018
It is worth highlighting that the general record between teams from Cuca and Flamengo is also the domain of Rubro -Black. In 34 games since 2003, Mais Querido defeated the coach on 14 occasions, drew 12 and lost eight. Success is 52.9%.
Achieving an away victory over Athletico-PR next Sunday will expand this already very favorable record and will certainly be important for the c
